I'm starting this P&M Blog in the hopes that it will motivate me to actually get my Eldar painted. And just to try to push my interest a little farther. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated.

First off is my test model of a guardian with what i plan on tweaking for the paint scheme for the army, which i'm doing turquoise with emerald highlights

Next is the model that is farthest along the Crimson Hunter Exarch

and the bottom

Followed by the Spiritseer

Automatically Appended Next Post:
The following is My Wraithknight which is magnetised to allow all variations. I don't show anything but the scatterlaser on the shoulder, but i can field all of them as the barrels, etc... are magnetised as well.

The left army which allows the wraithcannon and shield or an underarm weapon if desired.

same on the right

the shoulders allow all variations, or just to be left off.

Wraithknight with wraith cannons

with Sun cannon/shield

with Glaive and shield

Thanks

Nice work magnetizing that beast! For expensive kits like that one it really is a must.

I like those blues as a base for all the army and the white is a nice contrast. I need to see a mini with those Emerald highlights!

The lack of painted gems on the Wraithlord is a bit disappointing, just like the weapons. Are you doing to leave them all like that or are you planning about adding some extra details? A beast like that can use some love when it comes to details

This is very early in the painting stage for me, I've not done any of the gems or highlighting/shading, there is quite a bit more to do on. My main focus initially was the Crimson Hunter since its paint scheme is totally different to the majority.

I don't plan on painting every gem, but I plan on picking out a number of them. The weapons will be done accordingly with the same theme as is within the IA 11 book. So white with some black details and of course Gems.

The guardian in the first post has the first layer of emerald highlights, but it didn't come through very well on the picture.

All together, I have somewhere to the tune of about 6k worth of eldar that are at various stages so I am trying to focus on just one or two at a time to accomplish something.

There's roughly 60 guardians that I'm planning as well, so there should be a fair bit of emerald highlighting to do.

Excellent, then that will be a real nice eye-candy! Good luck, subbed!

Not a whole lot of time this week, but i managed to get a little more done on the Spiritseer and i poured the mold and made some wraithbone for the bases (hopefully looks appropriately aged.

Spiritseer Front

Spiritseer Back

Wraithbone bases

Hopefully i can get some more done and finish up the spiritseer over the next few days.

Little more work done on the Spiritseer. Got the model on the base and minimal flock and grass. Still need to highlight the black and finish the gems. Any C&C is more than welcome as i'm kind of working my way through this. I think i need to get some static grass though as all i have in the house is Flock and Field grass from woodland scenic.

That SpiritSeer is looking good mate, I love the deep turqoise coulur scheme.

I've read through the Mymeara Imperial Armour volume, are you fully theming the army along those lines?

Thanks for the Feedback, always good to hear someone else's opinion since i'm rather biased.

So far my goal is to do the complete theme to some extent. I don't plan on doing the vehicles the same as the IA book, but rather to highlight/blend the panels.

The aspect squads will still be done in their traditional color schemes as I'm kind of fond of the fluff as them being separate.

My Crimson Hunter exarch is done in their colors and i'll carry on with Dark Reapers, Dire Avengers, ...

Guardians based squads, Wraith based, Wraithlords, WraithKnight,etc..basically everything other than aspects will all be in the Mymeara scheme.

Sounds good to me

Just out of curiosity, how did you make the base slabs? And are the runes taken from the Eldar codex or something else?

I sculpted a 3 x 4 section of green stuff as a path with a line of runes on either. I then made a mold of it and used resin. Once it set and was hard I broke it up. Using that method I'm only limited to the amount of resin I have.

Have about 6k worth of eldar in various stages so I had to come up with a simple method.

The runes are from the new codex. In no particular order of course

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been working on a group of models as a whole to get them colorful enough to play a tournament this today. That guy tourney where i can actually take unlimited HS. Below is a picture as a whole. The picture washed out the turquoise.

I'll post more individual stuff as i get it done.

Nice to see the whole army pic, confirmation that the scheme works across multiple units.

Keep up the good work mate.

Aye, that blue and whit really works across the entire army. Once it's all detailed it will look beautiful

That is actually about a 1/3 of the army, but it is what i took to the local tournament. at which point i got massacred in 2 out of 3 games. it is definitely the cheap troop edition

Course going up against Tau and dark eldar with this army wasn't helpful, but it was still fun.

Sorry for the lack of updates, been kind of hectic around here, but i haven't been totally lazy. Next Up Dire Avengers that still need some touching up and symbols as well as bases finished.
