As a Saim-Hann player since they were first a crawtworld, I have to say that you can not say the Eldar are always peaceful and certainly not Saim-Hann as they have been known to fight each other (clan or family vs family) and other craftworlds. They are an honorable craftworld at least and pretty darn cool.

Really nice report. I enjoy the cinematography and the graphics you used. The painting and terrain building were great here too, very visually pleasing.
I feel the same way you do when I play Tau. Often it would be better to sit back since they don't move much, but that's so boring. All those Jetbikes and such need to get some movement in! I really like the way Saim-Hann armies look and play, I might expand into one once I get my Iyanden army painted, though I think I'm leaning toward Biel-Tan at this stage.
I think you would have won if you had played a little more conservatively, or, conversely, if you went all out aggressive. I think it was playing the middle ground that kind of cost you. Great game all around, though, and this goes to show how dangerous assuming the other player won't steal the initiative can be.
How did you do those hull decorations on the Warlock bikers? They look really nice.
You can't assault if you scout or infilitrate at the top of the turn, but he stole the initiative and had started his troops off with normal deployment. It was the other guy who wouldn't have been able to assault top of the turn, but losing that meant he was vulnerable to charge.
