So I used to have a P&M blog, but I kinda.... stopped posting on it for a year and a half.

So these are some of the toys I've been working on since.... 2011.

We have a Kitbash Ethereal( Aun'O K'ale Ko'vash)



We have a Cadre Fireblade kitbash (Shasn'el K'ale Kias Mont'yr Iur'Tae'Mont.) This guy was originally just a La'Kais kitbash I did after reading Fire Warrior last November, but I really like the Cadre Fireblade for some reason.










And this is the Word Bearers Dark Apostle Kitbash(using the chosen and Chaos Lord from DV) I've been working on. (Dark Apostle Athanasius)

Here is the cape, last week is the first pic and as of as of last night is the remaining pics.

Whelp, this is what I got so far. I'll be working on the Black Mace that the Dark Apostle will be holding hopefully this weekend, if not I will be hitting up the torso's details.

Worked on the Dark Apostle kitbash some more. Tomorrow I'll start work on the Black Mace. I also gotta figure out what I'm doing wrong with the pictures compared to what I used to do. >.>

Please consider taking pictures in front of a white background, a sheet of paper will do. It's a bit tougher to concentrate on the mini with so much "background visual-noise"

I like what I see so far, always a fan of blues and that Tau blue armor looks pretty good. It's a bit out of focus, tho.

And they better get reinforcements, there's some freakin' giant ponies back there

Yeah Yesterday after posting the last pic, I was looking at the old blog, trying to remember what I did different from the first page and the last page. Why my pics are out of focus again, other things, ect.

Tonight when I start painting on the Mace, I should be able to fix everything and get back to where I was before I last stopped, photo wise.

So I fixed everything. You never notice how many mistakes you made until you take decent pictures and post them on the internet for strangers to judge.

Tomorrow I'll start work on the mace.

So I did a little work on the Black Mace today. I painted the hand anyways.





I just don't know what to do. I'm thinking about painting the skulls white, then drybrushing various mixtures of white, gray, and black on the hitty parts of the Power Maul....But it's called the Black Mace.

I don't want to just leave it black... But it's The Black Mace. This has actually been troubling me all day. What do you guys think?

It's you who has to paint it and use it in your army. You should paint how you want, not leaving it black because it's called "Black Mace".

So I started some basic paint on it today.



I got distracted by pistols and Close Combat Cultists.

So for starters, I made a Pulse Pistol for the 2CCW Cultist



I trimmed down the barrel of a Pulse Rifle and snipped off the scope. I may have to trim down the stock to make it look more pistoly


I also trimmed the barrel off of an Auto gun to make an Autopistol.




And a friend gave me a ton of LotR models he bought back in 2003 and never painted. I clipped the hand off of one of the archers and clipped out the bow from that hand. I then clipped a Bayonet off of another cultist's Autogun, glued it to the hand to make it look like it was holding a knife, I then glued the hand to the Cultist who's autogun I turned into a Pistol.




I wanted to make it look like he was holding the blade icepick style and I think it turned out pretty good.

Tomorrow, I'll put more paint to the Black Mace and maybe work on some more Cultists.

I finished a cultist today. Trimmed his shoulder a bit so his arm would sit where I wanted and after work today, I stopped by Walmart and bought Epoxy Putty for the first time.




I mostly worked on the Black Mace.



My plan here is to paint the edges black, and then drybrush the black towards the center, then paint the skulls white and drybrush the white towards the edges.

If it works exactly the way I'm thinking, it should look pretty sweet.

Here we go.

This is the black mace after attempting to drybrush it. I like it. Gonna hit it up with some Devlin Mud and glue it to the Dark Apostle tomorrow.



This is the Heavy Stubber Cultist. I cut up the Stubber, a Bolter, and a Boltpistol to make his Autopistol. His Weapon is from the VC skelly kit. I'm going to touch his weapons up with Epoxy Putty tomorrow evening after the glue is finished drying.



And here is the Cultist Champion. To make him WYSIWYG, I trimmed his shotgun into a Hand Cannon( Autopistol)

Finished the Dark Apostle/Chaos Lord.




And worked on some more Cultists today.



Tomorrow I'll be working on the left handed cultists and prolly looking at priming them by the weekend

The Chaos Lord / DA looks pretty good! The Black Mace didn't lose any of it's "charm" by having a bit of color

Oh, and your pictures are much better now: much easier to see the details.

My goal is to make 70 Autopistol/CCW Cultists only using my bits box and the GW Cultists when it's all said and done.

I may have to get creative with my definition of CCW towards the end, but it'll be fine.
