Not sure if you ever foresee more gangs for basic game, although I'd love to see the Circus gang, and a big fan of a LA Voodoo gang

That said I would love a 'Bonanza' -themed gang.

You have Daddy Ben Cartwright, and sons Adam, Hos and Little Joe and later the hired hand Candy, or even Sheriff Coffee.

The Professional gunfighter Paladin from Have Gun Will Travel, and Wanted: Dead or Alives Steve McQueen character as the bounty hunter Josh Randall would be great hired guns

I want some gangs (or characters) from Blazing Saddles, because I love that movie and I think it would be hilarious.

But it wouldn't really be too gritty like the rest of Blackwater Gulch.

It doesn't have to be all gritty, thats why we have Doc Lloyd and Shamus McFox

We'll be doing the Flying Zarconis soon along with some other 3-man support packs for each gang. I'm not sure when though, Game Salute said they want to get the new models all finished and released first before we move on to more stuff. I'm hoping they can just set aside a budget and we can release them and other new stuff the old fashioned way, and save Kickstarters for big new projects. Like the next one I'd like to focus on mostly just the monsters, I don't want to tack on skirmish gangs to that since it's a whole different board game format.

The vibe I'm getting is that GameSalute wants to make a board game and Tim wants to make a miniatures skirmish game, and trying to accomplish both of these things is causing headaches. I am looking forward to "Monster" gangs. I hope the CotSW "dungeon crawl" format doesn't signal the doom of the gang skirmish format.

No, it won't Actually I've been planning a dungeon crawl game from the start, this is just how it evolved and it helped that Game Salute wants to do that too

At the end of the day it's going to be 2 different games, the dungeon crawl adventure game and the gang skirmish game. The fight mechanics will be the same, and you can use the same models in both games, but that's about it.

I'm actually thinking of dropping the Blackwater Gulch name from the adventure game and branding it as something else. So both will take place in the same game world but branded as 2 different product lines. So the adventure game would be called something like "Beasts & Badlands" with "Curse of the Skinwalker" being the campaign storyline. Then later on "Blood of the Wendigo" or something like that for the undead campaign story, followed by tommyknockers for a goblin kind of theme.

Even though there will be tons of models in the boxed game, I'm also planning to package them separately in the gang box format we have now, and there will be a separate mini expansion book that will have all of their rules for the skirmish game.

I was thinking of doing a little "name my game" contest and maybe give the winner some free dice left over from the 2 kickstarters. Beasts & Badlands is just kind of a placeholder for now, need to think up something cool. There's already "Savage Worlds" and "Darklands" and stuff like that :(

And somewhere along the line I want to do the 30-years-later mobster game too I don't think the dungeon crawl kind of game would work for that though so it would be a regular skirmish game. Not sure i would do monsters in that, guess we'll have to see.. it's a long ways off.

Hmm, what about a mobsters board game where the board represents an underground (or multi-building) illegal alcohol cache during the prohibition?

The players could be FBI/cops/do-gooders attempting to stop the criminal element by destroying their wares and 'aquiring' their assets. Oh, and shooting a few along the way, of course.

That would give you an excuse to make some Boardwalk Empire-inspired minis
