Obviously both CC units, and vehicles took a massive hit this edition. I haven't played in awhile and want to get a small 1000 point force together to start playing again.

I'm interested in Khorne because Berserkers are bad ass, and also the theme has a plethora of conversion opportunities.

Would a small force based around 2 units of Khorne berserkers be able to atleast achieve a 50% win rate in 6th edition?

Let me know any army list ideas or any units that should be included to make it work!

If you like the fluff and look of an army then to hell with the win loss ratio, that just takes the fun out of Warhammer!

I'm a big fan of Khorne and if you're really interested in how to play a foot slogging Khorne army have a look at Ailaros' battle reports. He has a good grasp of how to earn skulls for the sjull throne!

But back to your question. Theoretically, yes. At such a small point game you're not going to see as much of the beefier stuff so the Beserkers will be a lot more survivable. 8 Beserkers and Kharn in a Land Raider is just awesome at lower points, although it is a lot of points.

I can look up a list tomorrow but as of now i'm still pretty drunk so that wouldn't be the best plan. I shall be back tomorrow!

That's some good advice I guess, I suppose it doesn't make sense for Khorne berserkers to hang around securing home objectives when there is nobody to kill there.

Blood for the blood god!!!

I like both Nurgle and Khorne so I have a Death Guard army with a unit of Beserkers and Kharn. Not overly competitive but I sure have fun!

As long as you can protect them from lots of fire, it should be no problem...
Kharn
Bastion w/ quad gun
Land Raider
5 small squads of berserkers in rhinos

That should be 1000k points

Haul butt across the field on turn one, they all jump out on turn 2, assault all opposing scoring units with whoever is left on turn three.

You can field a few squads of cultists to protect the backfield objectives...

I think out spamming is key

I don't really want to field cultists because they are puny and can not match the khorne berzerkers for collecting skulls. I would be willing to settle for CSM with the MoK as they can still collect skulls. I also won't really have any money to spend on fortifications because fortifications can't hold an axe.

With that in mind, is there any list suggestions? Is there anyone that plays Khorne or World eaters that has a small 1000 point list they use? I know most people play bigger games but I like smaller games for the timescale and also you don't need a finely tuned army like you would at 2000 points for example.

Alright, axe required...unbeatable 1000 points:

Lord of Skulls
Khorne Lord
2x 5 man squads of CSM

Axes everywhere...one of them does 'D' for damage
