Take everything out that is irrelevant to the discussion. Like all the models' special rules anyone reading this thread should know those rules. All of the upgrade points also need to be removed, as this is against rules.

All in all, make it easier to read. Its just a mess right now.

Regarding the list itself...
==Doom of Malan'Tai needs a spod, no if ands or buts about it.
==Hormagaunts need to be consolidated into larger units. 20 isn't too difficult to render next to useless with bolter/lasgun fire. You need to have 30, so do 2 units of 30 and drop the Termagants to take 20 in the last unit. Lastly, they need upgrades. Take at least toxin sacs. Yes it'll reduce the number of bodies, but it'll greatly increase they're damage output to all opponents.
==Drop the Aegis w/ comms relay. You've got hive commander too. For just a single reserved unit (Doom) you gain next to nothing. Now that I think of it, drop both Hive commander AND Aegis.
==Hive Tyrant NEEDS to have TL-devourers. Use the points from above suggested.
==Lastly, you're relatively light on Synapse. Consider adding a Tyranid Prime (as your warlord) for increased staying power.

HQ
Hive Tyrant
-Wings, Dual BL-Devourers
260
Tyranid Prime
-Scything talons, LW/BS, Regen, TS
105

Elite
Doom
-spod
130
3 Zoanthrope
180

Troops
30 Hormagaunts
-TS
240
30 Hormagaunts
-TS
240

Heavy
Trygon Prime
240
Trygon
200

Total should be around 1710

I had to remove the gargoyles, but you can play around with the hormagaunt sizes if you wanna sneak a unit in...

I disagree with some of roxor08's input.

Doom is much better with a drop pod, True.
Giving Hormagaunts TS is needed on most or all units (cheap un-upgraded units can be used as shields for upgraded 20man units).
-many units of 20 can be better then few large units. ie. a battery can target and destroy one large unit but wont be able to target many units.
-small units give you some flexibility and as above cheaper units can screen upgraded units behind.
Get ride of agies, I agree.
Remove hive commander, I agree
Hive Tyrant with TL-Devourers, a good idea but not a must.
However, a Prime is not very good unless you stick him in a unit to keep your synapse safe.
-Sticking him in a unit of Horms will only slow down your beast move on the horms.
-Put him in a mid size unit of terms, this works best.

I say get a Flyrant with TL-Devs, then have him jump pack/fly up with your Gargs... Nice list but quite weak when facing something like venom spam DE, also the gaunts need either toxin sacs to ensure massive wound counts in combat but must have Adrenal glands which means you can glance tanks to death, alot of armies will wait safely in tin cans, glands means you can pop a tank in 6th, without it exploding and force the men to die inside by surrounding the tank with 30 bodies...

A flyrant will ensure that you have synapse range that follows the forward flow of your army... Gargs are great for rushing and screening, I love them cause upgraded they are less expensive than your gaunts, lol, If only they were a troops option...

Also no pods for your zoans/doom either?... you'd be hoping to be within 6-24" early... I love Mycetic spores too, most opponents will either ignore them or try to Insta kill them, but I love to drop them next to tanks or within the enemy aegis and pop the rear armour of tanks with tentacles... A good way also to open some tin cans for your hormies...

I was thinking more of using the trygons to ds with the tunnel thing and then use the tunel for the zoans/doom. Might that be a sound tactic?

Pg. 50 Tyranid codex: when the trygon Deep Strikes, only in a subsequent round can one unit emerge from the hole.

You will likely have 3 of those 4 units arrive from reserves on turn 2. What are the odds that 2 of those units will be trygons and either the zoans or doom will be left in reserves to come in on turn 3. If the zoans/doom do come in on turn 3 its to late. If the zoans and or doom come in on the 2nd turn they will have to come in on your table edge, which will make them worthless.

Not worth the gamble in a small to med. size game.
