I've been experimenting with bigger games lately, as well as playing to win. Both concepts have been very alien to me until now.
I'm looking for a way to field so many points without a veritable flood of boyz or vehicles on the board, and I think that battlewagons may be the best way to do this. However, I'm open to other suggestions, just not allies or forts.

The GBL are key to the list. Six AV10 vehicles with one shot barrage pie plates... they never fail to draw a *hail* of fire off of my other units. If I hide them out of sight, and/or spread them out, the enemy has to choose between targetting them with his long range or barrage weapons or targeting my main force of battlewagons. At only 35pts each I don't care if a few die, but with an S8 AP3
TL barrage pie plate, the other guy certainly does. They will force him to spread out his units to limit the damage, helping to dilute his force so my battlewagons can smash right through it, and can *smash*
IG artillery and other such units which are the bane of my existance! This goes a long way towards helping my battlewagons get to the other side of the field and start smashing and shooting stuff.
Lootas provide heavy fire support, smashing skimmers and fliers in particular as the battlewagons and their cargo can handle tanks and infantry. Small squads is more points efficient dakka than large ones in my experience, due to being able to target more units, less chance of inflicting overkill, and more chance of *being* overkilled and so wasting their firepower.
The battlewagons charge down the map in a tight formation, far enough apart to prevent multiple hits from large blasts but close enough to get a forcefield. For the most part I intend for the boyz to stay on board the wagons and shoot, but they can get out to hunt troops while the wagon crushes things if needed
I'm considering swapping one Burna Wagon for a Tankbusta Wagon. Thats a lot of S8 shots - even if they're inaccurate as hell, they'll certainly hit *something*. I can split fire by using squig bombs to kill the nearest tank while shooting at a further one (I think, need to re-check glory hogs), and that volume of S8 is gonna freak some dudes out and so draw fire to this wagon and away from the others.
