So, I've been trying to improve my list-building capabilites to graduate from novice to amatuer and overall improve my win percentage as a result. I've put together a list I'm thinking about taking to a local tournament, and would like some feedback, especially on the integration of the Farsight additions.

Overall, the force splits into two "fireteams," with the Commander joining either the XV88s for anti-air, the Riptide for Tank/Monster Hunter or one of the fusion suit squads to give them some extra power against whatever they may be facing (Tervigon, Flyrant, Daemon Prince, etc) while Farsight either joins the other squad for deestrike shenanigans or close combat ability against a unit on an objective on my side of the table. The VRT is on the suits so that they can cover ground quickly in their assault phase, and while the lose the re-roll on distance, the ability to hit and run with Farsights initiative is nothing to sneeze at.
Meanwhile, Darkstrider and company along with the Kroot outflank to cause annoyance, set me up for Linebreaker and possibly taking or contesting my opponents home objectives on his side. With the Kroot hound using Acute Senses, I have a four-in-six chance of coming on the board on the side I need/want, as well as likely being able to join up with Darkstriders squad for extra sniper shots or a small counter-assault unit. If they get charged with the Fire Warriors behind them, it will also allow for extra shots from overwatch, hopefully giving the Kroot that much more of a chance to survive long enough for the Fire Warriors to get set up.
The Ionheads can move around and their range provides a bit of extra anti-Marine and anti-horde with the template and the Pathfinders can hang out and drop markers wherever they are needed.
So, what your thoughts?

Don't take farsight unless you're going to run a farsight ball. You can move darkstrider to the HQ of the allies, and free up the 165 spent on farsight to spend on another squad of suits. Also, splitting the 2 broadsides into 2 units of 1 would save the points from bonding as well as the 'vre upgrade. They don't need to take a leadership test if one dies, because the unit gets destroyed

Thanks for your feedback, Mulletdude. I think I'm going to keep the XV88s together as a team, partially because I intend on joining the Primary detachment commander to them for leadership as the Riptide requires much less markerlight support to be fully effective. Twinlinking his weapons and being able to re-roll his Nova charge means he only needs two markerlights to strip cover, and the Tank/Monster hunter special rule can be fairly situational. I may leave the "Kingfisher" with him in the initial couple of turns for heavy duty work (Flyrants, Tervigon, Necron flyers, etc), but for the most part, having played with him a couple of times now, I'm not expecting him to need tank/monster hunter for more than a turn or two.
That being said, I've revised the list a bit; the reason my second squad of XV8s have plasma is because I don't have enough fusion blasters to fully kit them out. Also, I've been hearing some good things about the burst cannon; efficiency-wise, it's supposedly almost as good as a plasma rifle against TEQ due to number of shots and, well, three suits with BC x2 would do a number on hordes. Do you think maybe I should swap for a few burst cannons for the second squad? I was debating attaching the Warscaper commander to a squad of suits for an outflanking set of scoring suits, but that particular tactic seems a bit situational.
