Subject: Meldar vs Dark Eldar - 1750 - BLOODBOWL - Mission Test 1 - Video Batrep - Edited with mission rules
Another skaredcast battle report. This time Kevin and his 1750 of Eldar with Dark Eldar allies take on my Dark Eldar coven list led by Urien rackarth! It is a game of Blood Bowl, a mission for a Local Charity Event held every year in stratford ontario canada called the Michael Mudd Memorial Tournament.
Enjoy the battle report!
Thanks a lot for watching.
---Edit--- The lists are in the posts below.
Some people have been asking for the rules for BLOODBOWL. So here they are:
Set Up Terrain
Dawn of War deployment
Roll off for deployment - winner deploys first and goes first, looser goes second and gets to assign the "football" to a unit within his table half.
Night Fight, Scouts + Infiltrators
Seize if wanted.
The goal of the mission is to get the one objective. The "football" your opponents end zone. The end zone is 6" from each long table edge. Doing so scores you a touch down!
The ball can only be carried by models that have a way to pick it up, hand, claw, tentacle or what not.
May not move more than 12" in the movement phase, and 6" in the shooting phase.
May be thrown in the movement phase. Pick a model to be the receiver, roll to see if they complete the pass, 12" away or less 4+, up to 24" 6+. If pass completed move the ball to the receiver. If pass is failed the model throwing the ball "fumbles" the ball.
If a model carrying the ball dies, or is engaged in combat they automatically "fumble" the ball.
Fumble - the ball will scatter 2D6" from the location of the model that was carrying it.
So. You gain points as following:
Sack The QB (slay warlord) - 1pt
Touchdown - 1pts
Ball Possession - 1pt (if you control the ball at the end of the game)
More Touchdowns than your opponent - 1pt
Having more denial units your opponents "end zone" than they have in yours - 1pt
Unit Points (250) - Unit points are a way of calculating victory points. For each full 250pts gained from destroying enemy units you gain +1 pt. Units at 50% or vehicles that have taken a hull point are at 1/2 pts. Completely destroyed units contribute their entire point value.
And thats that!

Thanks for the comment. Dark Eldar are one of those hidden gems. Being a good general is key, or you will get annihilated! There is no room for mistakes in gameplay. And you have to play by eliminating targets and preventing return damage as much as possible.
*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

Aye, just started DE Im going for a Kabalite Kabal, full of raiders. What I like about them is that you can have a decent list (without adding in all the cheesy options), and you have to rely on skill and tactics and still be in a chance to get top place, which I agree is a rare gem tbh in competitive 40k (as imo most times when tournaments are played the game becomes to me 90% models + rules 10% Skill + Strategy) and I like that, plus its a nice change from CSM until the new Ork codex arrives
True. Dark Eldar do provide quite the unique challenge. And its not only the kabalites that are good! I have had good results with an all coven list! It takes a bit more to learn but its a helluva lot of fun. Things that I will work on as well are a full arena cult list as well.
