Imperial Recruit in Training

Wilton, NH

Hello all,

The aftermath of the Eye of Terror Campaign was the last time I waged war across the table top. Unfortunately, the finances of my college years brought an end to my wargaming, and a total sell off of my Alaitoc Eldar, Thousand Sons CSM, and Vanilla SM. Fast-forwarding 9 years, while looking for some reading material for my next rotation offshore for work, I picked up a copy a "Soul Drinkers: Redemption" by Ben Counter and that, along with the need of hobby I can enjoy at home, has brought me back to the world of WH40K.

Now, after doing some poking around on the various forums, and forgeworld's and gamesworkshop's websites, I had narrowed my army choices down Imperial Guard, Eldar, and Dark Eldar. To further narrow it down, it has always bothered me that the Imperium is more often than not represented by SM's on the table, instead of the thousands upon thousands of IG found in 40k fluff. That, coupled with a never-realized desire to have a IG army back in the day, has brought me to the ranks of the Guard. Who doesn't like playing the role of underdog?

I'll be modeling the Death Korps of Krieg and would like to eventually expand into other Guard regiments in the future to expand gameplay specialties and keep things interesting. I'll be maintain the progress of my new adventure and look forward to sharing my return to the hobby with you guys!

First order of business.... RESEARCH! Lots of catching up to do...

I have been touched by his noodly appendage.
