Tonight, after almost 2 years..... I will finally get around to building the Spartan that came in my Heresy starter box.

Finally finished the last model from 9th edition starter set, which was the lieutenant with shield.

Going to make a start on some of the termagaunts from my Leviathan box. Hoping to get them assembled and primed this weekend.

Finalizing building Necromunda Ogryns. Those resin hoses are a bit annoying. But will be 100% worth it.

Finished building the Spartan I began the other night. Then I knocked out the Contemtpor that came in the HH starter.

Next up?
The rest of the HH starter set Marines.

The MkVI pads are a wee bit fiddly, but take your time and they’re alright.

Also, if you’ve built any to date? Careful cleaning up the bodies. They have short pegs to help with aligning the arms. I managed to clean a couple right off, which made their arms a bit of a sod.

Oh yes, I'm familiar with the HH Marines & how much of a pita they are

I diverted half of them for a project last year & cursed the designer every time I dealt with their decision to cut should pads right down the middle. Let's take a small part & make it into two smaller parts (so we can have perfect little studs on it)! Brilliant. Pure genius. More than a few now tiny bitz had to be retrieved from under the desk....
Now I'm just getting around to finishing of the rest

Based three Hero Forge assassin chicks I painted a while back and finished the standard bearer of my Gaunt's Ghosts proxies. The most amount of work on minis I've done in pays. I did magnetise the heads of my Lion El'Jonson proxy. I'm using the helmetless head with slicked back hair from the Dark Angels Company Veteran kit and might green stuff some long hair on him as well as the helmeted head with the kit.

Base coat of the farseer conversion is on, now the detail work.

Finished painting my current Epic collection, and got the black undercoat on my all Volkite Kratos, ready for the coming few days.

Though to be honest, given I’m using the black undercoat at the main colour (lazy tosspot is lazy), depending on my oomph across the coming days, I could conceivably have that done and dusted by the end of Wednesday.

I unexpectedly get to play Legion Imperialis tomorrow evening!

So I took a break from the tediousness of building HH Marines to get my Solar artillery built & base coated.
8 tiny Basilisks & 8 tiny Medusa are now ready (sans final paint job) to lay waste to the enemy.

Began assembling my new Mantic Terrain Crate military base kit again as it's school holidays so no Kids' miniature gaming club so thought it be cool for them to have some new buildings to play on when they come back.

I have been reduced to this, after Great Escape Games FUBAR'd the paperwork on my massive Dead Man's Hand pledge and it was rejected at customs, if I want to have an old west table for this convention season. XPS foam over a PLA printed armature. Proxxon goes bzzz.

The last novel I needed to complete my HH hard back novel collection arrived from Poland today (Flight of the Eisenstein which I have been chasing for 2 years). Only a handful of novellas to go....
Paper back copies of varying printings sit behind the hard backs.

Finished assembling my last two buildings from the Terrain Crate Military Compound kit, as well as a couple of turrets and a radar dish.

I'm not sure whether to prime them and paint them or assemble my second kit, a Landing Pad, next. But I'm thinking of painting, as it'll give my poor fingers a rest, lol.

Back to slogging through building HH starter set Marines.

Auxilia. Solar Auxilia! My backorder finally came in, so have been busy building nothing but tanks as of late.

Been painting a tonne of Legion Imperialis infantry and dreadnoughts. Great fun.

More Auxilia, the Aethon is really starting to grow on me. Have made it stand a bit taller than it actually should, the left leg piston almost falls out of the cylinder, but worth it for a more braced, commanding pose.

Going to be doing a HH inventory.

I've got 10 more Marines from the HH starter set left to build.
So I thought now would be a good time to add up what I've actually got HH wise (just HH specific models - IE; stuff that came in HH branded boxes)

Then I'll decide how to build those final 10 Marines.
