Gonna assemble some Assault Marines for Heresy. Mild kit bash using Volkite Serpentas from the Jetbikes, and Power swords from the command sprue.

Once done, it’ll be a 20 man squad, which is nice.

And there you go, IG army complete! Next up I'll undercoat some US infantrymen and tackle this army. Going to use army painter dip, so they should be real fast to get out of the way.

Hilariously enough, used my terrain building skills to build a model set for seafloor spreading as my students are learning about continental drift. Hobby adjacent, one might say.

I made more progress on Autarch Raloth Arlyandor and his scenic base. I took some photos a day ago, which allowed me to see some flaws in the highlighting of the armour and the golden bits. His eyes were also a bit asymmetrical. I also highlighted the left side of his face. Then, highlighted the decapitated Emperor's Children Aspiring Champion's armour trim.

So this being Easter.....
While various things were cooking for Easter dinner I built the last model needed for my 2k pt GK army. A Venerable Dreadnought.

Started painting the Wakandan Cyber Truck.

Put gloss varnish on Raloth's and Faleaseen's gems, then set up some terrain to have in the background for the file I want to send Northern Exile, but I'm not happy with how the photos turned out, in all honesty.

I've been painting up a 1/35 model of the Soviet SMK, a prototype two-turret tank that performed ok-ish before getting passed over in favour of the KV-1.

It's almost finished but I thought "what else could I add to make it look move lived-in", and the first thing that came to mind "vodka".

Made up a couple of little crates of vodka, obviously the crew appear to have had their fair share already.

After 2 years at it, finally finishing up my 15mm Romans.

Finishing off my Sicran Venator (zoom zoom pew pew), clearing the decks for a week or two of Epic scale shenanigans.

Got an Astartes Infantry and Astartes Support box to build, and arriving in the next couple of hours, a Civitas sector box. With two sets of Civitas ruins being procured on Saturday.

Tonight a Typhon & a Sicarin Venator rolled off the assembly line.

Had the game day with the kids today, and we played a game of my The Angaran Chronicles: The Skirmish Game. We only got to halfway through the 2nd round, but that was due to me having to drive home twice because I'd forgotten a few things like my d12s, and that game needs a crap-ton of d12s. The kids had fun; they played as Jaroaite/Jaroaian Extremists, a horde army of 31 minis total. They loved rolling a crap-ton of dice when attacking. Using a box and rattling them around inside while walking around the room. I played as Anargrin (the elf in the blue shirt) and Raleas (the chick with the sniper rifle with ten elite soldiers. The scenario was I had to protect a newly-sired vampire lady while the kids were trying to kill her.

I'm adding scouts and Jump pack Intercessors to my Ultramarines and Blood Angels. The Blood Angels are a kitbash of Stormcast and Marine parts to give a baroque armor. I'm having trouble figuring out how to do that with the scouts though.

Are Heresy Solar Auxiliary legs/torsos close enough in scale to 40k Marine Scouts?

I haven't even gone near my painting desk in weeks now. However this weekend I intend to do a massive clean up in preparation of finishing a pile of minis I have sitting around. My whole workspace is dusty as all heck.

At the bare minimum I want to put some grass on my Assault marines and varnish them, then maybe build these Tetras.

I finished another Gaunt's Ghosts proxy and finally got back to working on them. I took a break after the game with the kids on Wednesday, and I have started another.
