Hi
A friend need's some help with some folk to fill out a survey. There's a chance to win an amazon gift voucher as well
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1sSw-4XKU1PM8ZZSleVpd4T4VGpGvUH-L8VHlGRjQgfU/viewform
It takes about 40 minutes and you may feel like you're getting repeated questions but that is very much the point. Apologies if this isn't allowed here and many thanks in future.

So you think you're tough, eh?

What exactly is that survey about and for?

Because:

1) I'm not clicking on it and entering in any personal details without knowing first

2) If it isn't related, even slightly, to something that routinely gets discussed here, then...

Thanks!

The survey deals with verbal quantifiers. I.e how people process words like many, few, little, lot and so on.

There is no need to put in any personal detail's there is a page which asks for e-mail, name and Student ID but these are only for the purpose of choosing a winner for the voucher and sorting out survey results.

Regards posting it here, the person conducting the survey are interested in people who regularly and routinely deal with absolutes(people that are interested in maths, engineering, war gaming opposed to say poetry, philosophy and the like). That why they asked me if I knew anyone. So I and a few other filled it out. Didn't see the harm in putting it on here.
Like I said though if it's not allowed then by all means block and delete, I wouldn't want to upset anyone.

It is an investigation into differences in the estimation of quantitative information.

For example you are given a statement such as "most people in the UK buy milk every week". You have to put in a percentage that means "most" and click the Yes or No radio button to say if the statement is plausible.

It looks like a completely legitimate academic research and seems quite interesting and worthwhile, however it is fairly long so it's best not to start if you think you will get bored before finishing.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

It was pretty lengthy, but I ploughed through both parts.
I assume the student number and study type are irrelevant.

It seems like it is an interesting study. I wouldn't mind taking a look at the results when it is concluded.

Kirasu: Have we fallen so far that we are excited that GW is giving us the opportunity to spend 58$ for JUST the rules? Surprised it's not "Dataslate: Assault Phase"

AlexHolker: "The power loader is a forklift. The public doesn't complain about a forklift not having frontal armour protecting the crew compartment because the only enemy it is designed to face is the OHSA violation."
