I was going to mention that you placed your Bloodthirsters too far forward which left them wide open when your opponent went first, but then I heard you say you should have hidden them better. Hammer and Anvil is a great deployment for Daemons when you're going second, as it allows you to deploy far enough back to avoid a lot of your opponent's first turn shooting. Handing him First Blood and Slay the Warlord by placing the 'Thirster so far up and on the ground might have cost you the game.

Yeah that definitely was a deciding factor right off the hop. I did warn him that the DE were all about that poison stuff.

This was the first time that either player faced the army that was across from them so they knew very little about each other.
