This was a practice game for a tournament we're going to in a month or so, both of us are taking Ultramarines, me with White Scar allies and Mark with Dark Angel allies.

After the game we have a pretty good discussion about our respective lists.

It looks like you're not taking the upgrade for veteran sergeants. Do you think its worth it?

Great batrep and very enjoyable to watch.

I think the veteran upgrade is definitely worth it but some how it always seems to not make the cut, this list is so tight on points I've scraped off lots of the upgrades just to get the units in.

Usually marines are ok with failing LD tests but its the ones you take in the early turns of the game when your near you table edge that make you wish you'd found the points for the upgrade.
