Thanks for the report. I've got the same mat and really enjoy using it; they add a lot to the look of the table.

I've found Maelstrom Missions force players to play the game very different from the Eternal War missions. A lot more dynamic movement of units, but I've also found that my 3 strong Jetbike squads do not last at all in Maelstrom Missions as I am forced to immediately play them aggressively to capture objectives early.

Thanks, yep, the bikes went up in flames first in my list too ...but i still enjoy Maelstrom, cos they keep the game evolving every turn. Fe. Swooping Hawks are GOLD in the 7th edition, with their direct deep strike and the Warp Spiders have always been great, but now even better. I like the 7th edition! The mat is so good, i hope i had the cash to get all the variations!

How did we play them wrong? We used the warp charge pool, cancelled the powers, etc...nope, played them right

Checked the rules and i stand corrected, we did the denying wrong...live and learn...
