So my interpretation of the Maelstrom missions is that you cannot have the same card twice, but you can get the same card multiple times (in proceeding turns). Am I wrong? Otherwise nice BR and thanks for sharing as always!

May the WAAC and pretzels be with you.

Interesting report. I think the biggest problem your opponent had was lack of mobility right from the beginning. With the mission you played, you have to try to maximize your points on turns 1 and 2. With you getting a big jump on him due to very mobile units, it became quite a challenge for him to keep up. However, as you observed, by going after those points early, you expose a good part of your army and start taking substantial casualties. With MoW missions, I think MSU, mobility and Objective Secured ability are the keys to winning.

Another great report. Thanks for sharing.

Also, I hadn't noticed that each player should be using their own deck. This makes a lot of sense now with the Ork release and they get their own deck of cards.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Awesome table.

I really am a fan of the maelstrom missions. I think allowing a player to immediately redraw an impossible card (like kill a none existent flier) fixes their biggest flaw.

Again I have to say I LOVE the bamboo idea, I will need to do that myself.

I believe you can have the same objective card multiple times...

The Tau had no mobile elements. So I was able to capitalize on this early. But as the game continued their meat grinder style list really pulled its weight as my forces dwindled.

The table was amazing! The bamboo was simple yet looked GREAT.

Not a bad game, the objectives seem closer to the DE player though, try and centralize them better.

In the works

Warhammer 40k. Enjoy it or go play something else. Life is too short to complain.

The objectives are placed before deployment zones are chosen, and were placed in accordance with the objective placement rules. My opponent chose the side with less objectives because he wanted the height advantage for his broadsides.
