This game was played last weekend in preparation for the upcoming ATC. It's always a tough match versus this opponent.

I have been tweaking my list and finally gotten it sorted to my liking.

Enjoyed the report! Seems like the IK was wasted though, sure he could have done better staying back a turn to clear the tyranid backfield before moving up to his death?

I don't think he should have engaged the Knight until towards the end of the game.

I can't say seeing an Imperial Knight give up First Blood is all that common!

To be fair, this has been in the fluff since Rogue Trader... Good old house Mortimer! Even though the Knight in question is not fully painted.

The point of the Knight isn't to be fluffy, however it doesn't violate the fluff at all. The Knight is included because I think Tyranids are more competitive with allies. I simply chose an ally that wasn't opposed to the fluff. I could make a better Army by allying Necrons, but Tyranid Necrons are not fluffy, while Tyranid Knights are. It's more fluffy than an alliance of Necrons and Grey Knights actually.

I'm glad it's an option now for Chaos Space Marines Obviously the Knight gives the Tyranids something they are lacking. TBH though I don't see GK-Cronz as being any less 'fluffy' than Nidz with a Knight. To each his own.
