This is the final battle report from my council of war series and it ends with a rather large game, 8,000 points of imperial/eldar alliance vs 8,00 points of a xenos alliance. The game is Crusade with 5 objectives and dawn of war deployment. This is not apocalypse, just a big game of 40k, which does make a difference, lots of pics included.

Hope you enjoy.

Nice battle report again. How do you write them so fast during gameplay?

For the guy who leaves it all on the field (because he doesn't pick up after the game).
Keep on rolling

You wrote that you removed a psychic power by killing the psyker (Tigurius) who cast it. I can't find a rule which says that and when a psychic power can be cast successfully even if the psyker dies to a Perils of the Warp then I'm quite sure that a psychic power aren't nullified/removed when the caster dies later on.

Though if you mean "Shrouding" instead of "Conceal" I can see the psychic power being nullified.

To me the Chaos Space Marines needed to be characterised as a threat reaching back to the Imperium's past, a threat which had refused to lie down and become part of history. This is in part why the gods of Chaos are less pivotal in Codex Chaos; we felt that the motivations of Chaos Space Marines should remain their own, no matter how debased and vile. Though the corrupted Space Marines of the Traitor Legions make excellent champions for the gods of Chaos, they are not pawns and have their own agendas of vengeance, empire-building vindication or arcane study which gives them purpose.

Yes sorry i did mean shrouding, not conceal. Must have slipped my mind being an eldar player.

We talked to our opponents as as shrouding targeted the psyker himself as the blessing we came to the agreement that if he died the power wouldn't help other units any more. If the power targeted other units as well during casting it would have stayed, but it didn't.

Looks a good game, and lots pod big stuff too :-)

The titan was even shown to not be a invincible god machine due to good combined arms tactics.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.
