Hi all. Just picked up the game and after reading the rules and browsing through some of the cards I have a couple of questions. For wounding I noticed the Quick Start rules states that you lose 1 hp for every failed save. However, the main book and main rule pdf seems to state that if you can't negate all wounds you take just 1 hp. They don't say 'for every failed save' you take 1 hp. Just wondering which is the right way. Also, for the Bandidos crew I see some have (M+1) beside the Strength factor of their melee weapon. Can't seem to find what the M+1 means. Extra dice to roll or strength of weapon going up? Thanks for any help.

The correct rule is you lose 1 HP per attack. The quickstart rules are an older version. I'm hoping they'll be able to fix that, you might have gotten an older box set that had the old rules in it.

And the M+1 means Model +1, or whatever strength your model has +1 It's mostly for melee weapons that add some extra strength to your attack. Usually the correct number will be in parenthesis on the card, like M+1 (4).

Thanks Necros. I'm glad the wounding is not the Quick Start way. Seemed a bit too deadly.

Is the published rulebook more in depth than the pdf version? My son and I were discussing this possibility yesterday as we were shooting a lot into and out of a forest. We couldn't decide if there was a limit on how far into the woods a target could be spotted. We used a 3 inch rule, but when I read the pdf version of my rules I don't see anything like that. Anyway, let me know if the two rulebooks are different...Thanks.

The rules are the same in both versions, the printed book just has more background and fluff and art and some extra little tidbits. but it's cheap and a small sized book that's good for traveling

There's no real distance rule for area terrain though. All you have to do is be inside. I did it like that mostly because of buildings. If you're 3" inside a building you won't be able to see in or outside of a window. So in the end it was easier to just not have a distance rule, all you have to do is be on an area terrain template
