Colonel, we have some excellent news for you. In light of your recent involvement with the Inquisition you have been selected for a highly sensitive mission. Please note that this mission is time critical and top secret; you are to proceed with the utmost haste and discretion.

The Warhammer 40k: Blood & Iron pack is more than a minecraft mod pack, it's a fully featured, story-driven world complete with an RPG system based off Fallouts, three factions, hundreds of quests, and much more. It features a unified modpack with numerous tech mods, weapons, armor, vehicles, new biomes, and multi-block aircraft.

Team up with a faction to help decide the fate of Mortua, raise armies of NPC's that you can command, construct towns populated by NPC's of your own, and explore alien biomes. In the end, your choices and actions will determine whether Mortua is controlled by the forces of Chaos or the Imperium of Man.

The pack can be played alone or with friends through LAN mode or a dedicated server.

Get the pack here: www.technicpack.net/modpack/wh40k-blood-iron-pack.558927

To install the pack fist go to https://www.technicpack.net/download to get the technic launcher. You'll have to enter your normal login info, and then click on "mod packs" at the top once you're in. From there paste http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/wh40k-blood-iron-pack into the blank field that says "add pack or search". Install the pack and you're good to go.

✘SPECIAL stats, 40 levels, 14 skills paths, 112 skill related abilities, and 80 perks help define your character.
✘Custom map set on an alien world with 22 unique biomes ranging from lush jungles, barren wastelands, and mushroom forests to twisted hellscapes.
✘Armor, weapons, and vehicles from the WH40k universe including lasguns, bolters, Leman Russ tanks, power armor, and more.
✘A Mayor skill that allows you to make your own wasteland settlement complete with settlers, guards, merchants, and a caravan master.
✘The ability to raise an Imperial or Lost & Damned army with over 16 different troop types to command.
✘Over 260 story quests, not counting side-quests. 120 Ad-mech quests mostly involving building things, and 70 story quests for both the Imperial and Lost & Damned factions.
✘Over 30 exploration related quests to reward you for your curiosity or introduce you to important locations.
✘Quests may have different solutions, and many involve interacting with NPC's.
✘Work with or against one of three factions: The Imperium, The Lost & Damned, or the Adeptus Mechanicus. Faction choices are meaningful and determine your abilities, troop roster, and plot outcomes.
✘Multiple quest hubs filled with hundreds of NPC's. NPC arenas, mob arenas, traders, bars, shops, and banks.
✘Customized mods to offer the user a coherent, intuitive, and immersive experience.
✘1000's of tooltips to inform and amuse.

So one of the guys who plays on the server put together a trailer video to show off some of the armor, weapons and titans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BICECjuNLSM&feature=youtu.be

It starts off really dark but as the day goes on you can actually see whats going on more. If you have a hard time seeing it skip to the 2 minute mark.

Great, hope to see you guys in game.

We actually had a pretty busy week. I had to update the server to a better VPS due to the size of some battles and the addition of a mobworld where players fight waves of really tough mobs for various rewards. The IP changed but it's listed in the pack anyway.

I added a starter kit and an ammo kit so that people can join, start fighting right away and stay in the fight. It's IG level weapons, armor and ammo but it works fine. Players still have to put in effort for stuff like power armor or terminator armor, Paladins, bolters, Leman Russ's, and so on.

I also took a hard look at some of our recipes which were really too much. I wound up making a lot of stuff way less tedious to make. I want people to join to fight or build cool stuff (or both), not spend hours crafting ammo or machinery.

This pack no longer has anything to do with PVP or a server, it's now a HQM story pack, which means there are quests, NPC's, quest hubs, and so on. It's also changed a lot since I last posted here, way more than I could get into in a few words. You can play it alone or with others, or make your own server with it if you know how. If anyone tries it out, I'd really appreciate feedback.

There's been a lot of bugfixes released lately. There were major performance issues with mobs and some all to frequent weapons malfunctions that were resolved. There were also lots of changes made to the RPG system. I finally released a server file so people can now run their own servers. All you do is download it and click the launcher.bat. If there's any interest in this please let me know, and bug reports and suggestions of every sort are always welcome.

You can get the pack here: https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/wh40k-blood-iron-pack.558927

We also have a Discord where you can ask questions or bring bugs to my attention. https://discord.gg/GCy4JX2

Thanks! If you try it out let me know what you think, suggestions, etc. Just keep in mind that you have to side with one faction at some point, but your quest line will let you know when your approaching the point of no return.

I think someone had a hard time finding the character sheet, but it's still there and on the same page as the other quest categories. You just have to click on Character Sheet and then complete the "You're SPECIAL" quest to get your initial 28 stat points, at which point the whole stat tree is revealed and you can invest your points.

I'll include a picture of the placement of the Character Sheet to clear up any confusion about where it is, but please don't hesitate to pop in the discord or email me at mensreamc@gmail.com if you have any issues.

Pack has undergone a complete and total overhaul. The changelog doesn't really do it justice because there was a 7 month backlog of work being held up by one mod. If you liked it before but thought it was confusing or buggy you'll probably like it a lot more now. As always please tell me what you think.

Get it here: https://www.technicpack.net/modpack/wh40k-blood-iron-pack.558927

You have to use the technic launcher. It's a custom launcher for minecraft that allows people to use pre-built packs. There's two other types of launchers and I'm working on getting the packs on those too, but it's a process. Go to https://www.technicpack.net/download to get the technic launcher. You'll have to enter your normal login info, and then click on "mod packs" at the top once you're in. Believe it or not, I checked beforehand and as long as I include this bit (and don't profit from it), I'm OK, according to GW's website. It's on the permissions portion, in the place you'd suspect most people would place a good disclaimer.

*EDIT* Just double checked and it looks like I don't even have to include the disclaimer anymore so long as I'm not violating a handful of conditions, none of which I'm violating. The logo was drawn and not taken from any GW copyrighted source, but I'm sure the artist would be flattered that someone thought it was official!
