Latre last year I went on a bit of 40k spending spree with the intention of finishing off my 5 armies with some units that would "complete" them imo.
The 5 armies I own are Space Wolves, Tyranids, Eldar, IG and Orks.
Heres what I bought:

I've been plugging away ever since and have most of it finished so thought I might as well show a few of them off. Please note: I consider myself about tabletop standard, nothing more
I'll probably get a few kits up every day so lets begin from the top left.....

Space Wolf Stormwolf. I bought this kit to give some anti air to my Space Wolves since I was lacking in air units overall.

Tyranid Crone/Harpy. I usually use it as a Crone. Again it was mainly to give the Nids some air power and presence.

Up next Ork battleforce and Baneblade!

My Orks are all Goff so I stuck with that theme overall.

I had loads of Ork boyz when I got this kit so decided to kitbash some of them into Tankbustas since I had a decent bits box and some ideas

The box also contained 3 bikes and I had another 3 from back in the day

And finally a load of Boyz

The Baneblade was purchased as my goal was to have at least one superheavy for each army. I painted it up to fit with my Mordian Iron Guard IG army.

Thanks Trondy

Today we have Gants, Gargs and Go Fastas.....

I have a fairly sizeable Nid army but picked these guys up mainly as TerviGants for spawning.

The Gargoyles were a nice addition as they synch well with the other winged beasties and Flyrants

The Dakkajets were bought for the same reason as the Crone/SWolf, to add some airpower to the Goffs. I originally was going to buy one but having two Vendettas for my IG, I decided it only fair to even the score
I did them up mainly as red unz go fasta but tried to add some Goff colors to keep with the theme (black and white panelling etc). They were actually a joy to make and paint.

Wulfaz and Ulrich join us for todays update.
I bought Wulfaz months ago but was kind of scared of doing him incase it went belly up. However I decided to bite the bullet a few weeks back and get him painted.
He was done to fit in with my Space Wolves and give them a Super Heavy element just like the other armies.

Ulrich I bought a few weeks back to compliment him. Plus I could not resist that Avenger Cannon sculpt.

So now they are Battle Brothers

Thanks FD!

Today we have The Greatwolf and some Tactical SWs.
Have to say the tactical kit was a joy to put together and paint, very customisable with lots of options and they fit really well too.

Logan. I havent actually used him in a game yet which is a shame. Despite the hate it got on release I think its a cracking kit, very characterful and I love the Wolf sculpts.

Today we have old Deathleaper. Another poor soul who I have never used in a game. I really should root out his Lictor Buddies and have them hunt some IG. He was Finecast but I had no issues with him tbh.

And an Eldar Crimson Hunter. As above, added to my Eldar for some airpower. I need to get some transfers onto it however.

Thanks lliu!

I didnt actually manage to finish the finecast Banshees I have in the pic, they are still to do. However I did complete five old metal ones from circa 1995. With the FC pack , I'll have 10 in total. Just need to find my Jain Zar now.

And whilst he isnt in the pic, during the last few months I also did up my version of Swarmy for the Nids. Hes an old 4th ed metal sculpt afaik. Was fun to paint being honest.

Today we have some truely ancient Ork Boarboys that I painted up a few months back. I proxy them as Znardsark and biker nobz mostly.

And the last of my Ork Bikes. These were plastics from 3rd ed I think - its been that long. I had some extra bitz left over from the other kits so kitbashed them somewhat because their original incarnation was pretty weak.

Got a few more bits in bobs done this week.

3/6 Eldar Jetbikes. These are old 3rd ed ones iirc with a weird converted Autarch I made up for a tournament.

I also got some transfer applied to my Waveserpents.

And some onto my Baneblade for my IG Mordians.

Thanks guys!

Finally got the last of the transfers onto my Falcons, I had them done up a few years back but most of the transfers had flaked so now all reapplied.
The Falcon with the busted scat laser turret is circa 1996 I think. No idea where the gun or his cockpit canopy are.

and the last 3 jetbikes. One is missing an arm.
I wonder if any of my stuff is in 100% condition

Have to say a few well placed transfers can make a big difference to a model.

:O How do you have both the money to buy all that *AND* the time to paint it all?!

I really love what you're doing with it, and I think I may need to start up some threads for myself so I can get more into painting and less into buying...

Thanks RT.
Little update today.

6 finecast banshees to add to my 5 old metal ones. I havent bought too many FC kits to be honest but the ones I had bought before were decent quality. These though were very much less so. The halbeard on the exarch actually broke which really annoyed me as I wanted to model it and one of the feet on a banshee also broke off too. Another sword handle went bye bye also. Realistically I should have sent them back but wasnt that bothered so thats my problem but it was frustrating.

Anywho.....

Heres a shot of them with their sisters

Which do you prefer old or new?.....

Enjoy

The end times are upon us!

You show a fine example that well done individual models are interesting to see.

a couple suggestions:

One- Thin your paints. If you use a slightly watered down paint and apply multiple layers itll look great.

Two- Shading works wonders for your models

H.B.M.C.- The end hath come! From now on armies will only consist of Astorath, Land Speeder Storms and Soul Grinders!
War Kitten- Vanden, you just taunted the Dank Lord Ezra. Prepare for seven years of fighting reality...
koooaei- Emperor: I envy your nipplehorns. <Magnus goes red. Permanently>
Neronoxx- If our Dreadnought doesn't have sick scuplted abs, we riot.
Frazzled- I don't generally call anyone by a term other than "sir" "maam" "youn g lady" "young man" or " HEY bag!"
Ruin- It's official, we've ran out of things to talk about on Dakka. Close the site. We're done.
mrhappyface- "They're more what you'd call guidlines than actual rules" - Captain Roboute Barbosa
Steve steveson- To be clear, I'd sell you all out for a bottle of scotch and a mid priced hooker.
