Long time reader, first time poster.... at least in this forum. I've just finished the Crusader Brethren which brings this force up to 150 points - my first completely painted army.

Looking good! I'd love to see some individual shots against a clearer background to really show them off!

Cheers guys

I'm not good at photography and am using a dodgy camera phone, but I'll have a go at more close up shots..... although I'm thinking all that will do is highlight mistakes.

I'm midway through painting a Knight o Monotessa to stand in for a Hospitaller. When I've done that I'll get to the photos.

Looks nice. Could you take some more pictures with the flash off?

Cheers mate. Will do when I get the chance. I was waiting until I finished this Knight of Montessa standing in for a Hospitaller first.

I'm not 100% happy with this model. I rushed in the end to get it done for a competition on the Infinity Australia facebook group, and it's not varnished yet, but by and large, it's finished and will look OK on the table top.

I'll get some non flash, individual shots when I can. Thanks again, guys.

Moved onto the Caledonians for a bit - does anybody know how I can change the title of this thread so I don't have to start a new one? - because I really wanted to punish myself by painting a field of tartan.

Not as polished as I would have liked, but I'm trying to get them finished rather than perfect.

Cheers, mate. I'm still kicking myself over the base for it though. Really messed up there. Although it was a learning experiance, and I'm pre-painting a base for the next batch of PanO because of it.

Good stuff, Mikes! I wondered if it was you from rllmuk when I saw the thread title. I clicked on the thread and saw Yorkshire Etiquette in the first post, then that trademark LOTR DVD trilogy a couple of posts down, and I had my answer.

Apologies for the bad photos. I'm in the middle of a house move, so don't have any decent set up, and smashed my phone camera.

Cutter. Impromptu mud effects on the feet thanks to Vallejo liquid mask being all kinds of terrible.

Cracking job on that Cutter, did you use an airbrush?

Still think that's a lovely miniature, stands up well to the more recent releases despite its age.

Thanks guys. Yep, cheated with an airbrush. And agreed about the sculpt. I got in before the inevitable varuna resculpt.

Cheers mate. I was a bit rushed to get them on the table, so a few details like the BS Spetznaz goggles were skipped, but I do think they look good on the table top.

And if anyone knows how to post pictures from IMGUR which aren't huge I'd really apprecaite finding out how.

They all look great - I love the Hac Tao!
It sounds like you need to get yourself a small photo booth, they're cheap enough on ebay, and maybe a background - I got mine from Hanger18 and they're really good. It's worth searching youtube as well

The main trick is to avoid direct light, you need a nice diffused light. I tend to wait for the direct sunlight (if we get any) to leave and face my booth away from the window but I guess it depends on your camera.
