Hey guys so I'm planning to write a short story regarding my Nurgle Legion the Blight Angels. Short version of the story is my Legions chief sorceror Nikol is on his way to become the Lord of Entropy. Having found 4 of the 7 "tomes of nurgleth" he's looking for the others but cannot find them. Anyway a word bearers Dark Apostle is also looking for them and knows where atleast one of them is but Dosent want to risk losing too many of his own Host so he makes a deal with the Blight Lords Legion Master Nemeroth Plaguebtinger he takes them to the world where the tome of nurgleth is and they then owe him a debt.
Anyway so they go to the world Nikol leading the way and anyway he ends up realising the word bearers are going to betray them so after he finds the tome he tells his forces to pull back and return to the ship. After they have retreated word reach the dark Apostle that their hired help has gone. Furious the dark Apostle gets on the comms link ti the sorceror and demands a explanation.

Basically the sorceror orders the ship master to fire what is a biological viral nuke on the planet wiping out the majority of the living things on the world below. The dark Apostle and his few most trusted followers get lucky and manage to escape woth their lives. Now here's where I am having trouble. Would the dark council try to ge retribution on my warband or would they find it rather amusing

Ok. I think I've deciphered most of this.

With the Traitor Legions, alliances are made and broken all the time. In order to decide whether this Dark Apostle would want revenge, you may want to explore the following:

1) If the Dark Apostle already knows where that book is, does he know the locations of anymore? Is this leverage?
2) If the Dark Apostle was willing to save the lives of his men, why would he risk losing them in order to exact something petty as revenge. The better goal would be to try to gain the 5 books that your Lord has garnered for himself.
3)Was this all part of the plan anyway? DID the Dark Apostle whisper something into the warp that echoed back to your Blight Angel Lord?

I imagine it was more a case of that he wants the book but he sees my warband as more expendable than his own Host. He will probably be trying to obtain the books my Sorceror already has but I'm sure even to a word bearer launching a attack where your enemy is at their strongest is pretty stupid he pretty much underestimates the sorceror

So why does the Dark Apostle want the book? If your Sorceror has possession of 5 books, what's the incentive for the Dark Apostle for entering into a pact with him?
He won't get a share of the power, that's not how gifts from the Gods work. A Dark Apostle is no dummy. He would know the level of power required to find and utilise the books.
So he must've always have the intention to steal them, which then leads me on to, if he had the intention to steal the books anyway, and knowing the strength of your warband and it's leader, he must of found a weakness? A flaw? You don't enter a bargain with a traitor unless you've got something up your sleeve.

If the Dark Apostle has underestimated your Sorceror, in what way did he do so? Both would've had to display cunning and ruthlessness in order to rise to their respective positions.

My thinking on the Apostle is he believed that he could weaken them enough with the casualties that he would take as well as the possible death of the sorceror that his host would have the strength to match the rest of the Legion. Unfortunately it Dosent end up working out that way due to my sorceror being smart enough to glare into the future by forcing a Tzeenchian daemon to allow him to know the dark apostles real intentions
