The Shadowlands of Nagarythe

So I have been looking at the idea of adding the HH box Contemptor to my 40k Dark Angels (using it as Venerable when not accepted with its normal rules), and that brought me to a simple question, to which I don't have the answer: When was the Castaferrum introduced?

So, can anyone answer me? I would also be very grateful if anyone could tell me which Patterns came before which

Castaferrum and Lucifer pattern are early Dreadnoughts.
Deredeo is a later design, a variant of the hugely successful Contemptor, which was a more refined, higher tech but more maintenance heavy design.

Castraferrum was actually developed after the contemptor as a cost and maintenance-saving design.

ol' Boxy is from the Heresy era aswell, developed as a cheaper and easier to maintain version, also it's low height makes it better for ship to ship engagements but yeah it's an old design

Chronologically:

Contemptor - super old, super rare, hard to make
Dorijidu/dorito/Deredeo - slightly after contemptor, since it's just a bulky contemptor.
MK IV (boxy w/ "head" showing) - made because it was easy, and better for ship to ship combat
MK V (Current kit) - about the same time as MKIV

You should have no issue running it as a contemptor, since the contemptor has 40k AND 30k rules.

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I think his worry is that small percentage of players just won't play forgeworld no matter what .
