Since GW and Forgeworld are both selling betrayal at Calth can we put to the rest the idea that the two are separate in any way or that forgeworld is some odd company that makes add ons and isn't part of the core game.
As someone who started in fifth and has played till now this attitude has always confused me.

We can put it to rest the day that it becomes "GW must allow FW product in their stores" instead of "It's up to each individual store to allow it or not."
I'm not talking about specific tournaments, as each tournament has their restriction list, but not being able to play 30k at all in a GW store does not sound like a unified company to me.

Maybe it's an american thing but GW barely has stores in the US. They just closed the one in NYC, and i've never played at one of there stores. Most of the action is at FLGS

It's not a matter of whether GW stores are common or not, it's that it happens at all. I think this image from the Simpsons sums it up pretty well, if you want to consider them one company in any other form than a technical sense:
" FW is the same company as GW, just more.... er fun."

I didn't even know that was a thing, but it's pretty awesome. I was actually trying to find the video clip of that on youtube, but I guess it's not available. So I just googled it and found that, I wish I could find the clip though D:
