We are pleased to state that the vast majority of orders have now been shipped, with a good number of backers receiving them already! All outstanding orders should be out on time, with the remainder packaged up and waiting for collection tomorrow. In a few weeks we'll chase up all backers who have not completed the pledge manager ready for the Jan 20th shipment, and then once we've delivered the final audiobook, we'll have the proud accomplishment of completing a kickstarter on time and to plan! As mentioned previously, our shipping status email and website notifications have a small glitch so many of you will get a 'your order has been shipped' email after you've actually got the models and sets in hand, so our apologies for that one!
Maelstrom's Edge was never going to be a one-shot affair, and we have years of content planned and in development. This begins with our latest updates on the Maelstrom's Edge website in the form of our assembly guides, summary sheet and card game rules.
The Maelstrom's Edge card game now has a dedicated URL at
http://www.maelstromsedge.com/cardgame which you can check at any time to get the rules for the extra card game included in the Battle for Zycanthus box set.
Our sprues are packed with parts and some models certainly benefit from assembly instructions. We've been working our way through the model range and adding instructions at
http://www.maelstromsedge.com/build . We already have detailed and comprehensive instructions for Epirian Handlers, Hunter Warmechs, Firefly and Spider Drones and Karist Kaddar Novas, Shadow Walkers and Tempest Elites. We'll send another message around once we've added the rest, with the Scarecrow and infantry the highest priority (the Angels and Minnows are fairly simple to assemble).
Finally, we've got
a print and play summary sheet available for download. This gives you a one page easy-access reference for weapons and other specific rules instead of flipping through the rulebook. The documents are formatted to look nice on paper but also look good on screen if you prefer ipads to physical documents.
If you've got your copy of Battle for Zycanthus in hand, then please post a comment so that we can hear your first impressions!
