Has anyone done anything with the terrain sprues?

I like the pictures on the website, but making scratch terrain is not my strong suit. I'm willing to put the time into making my own terrain, but I need a "starter example" or "primer".

If anyone here has a step by step, or even just a few in-progress pictures of what they are doing with their terrain bits, I'd certainly appreciate some guidance.

Thanks!

Edit: Just found this thread from insaniak. Scrolling through that, now. Thanks! http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/650202.page

Others are still welcome to give me some pointers, though. I'm more of a painter than a terrain planner or architect...

Yeah,
I got a bunch of sprues.
Half way through building my terrain set.
Going to start a blog soon with what I got done so far.

I used rain gutters connectors and electrical boxes.

Panic...

Whoa.... that's pretty damn cool panic, the gutter joints in particular were a brilliant idea. Nice!
