Sorry it's me again. I'm just getting into building miniatures again after approximately a 20 year hiatus hence the many questions. My 12 year old was not bothered about mould lines but 34 year old me is. The ones on these models are pretty tiny but there are some on the arms of the contractors for example. Should I file these off or scrape with a knife?

Either will work. I do all of my mould line removal with an exacto knife, scraping gently sideways with the blade.

Some people prefer to use a file, as they find it is easier to control... I find that the file tends to leave a rougher finish, though.

scraping with a knife if you can around detail, file with a fine file to get around detail (and then scrape the file marks off), and give it a hit with really fine sandpaper to make it smooth

yeah,
I don't waste too much time on mould lines...
But any big ones I scrape off with a knife. and blow away the removed plastic.

I find using a file makes more mess.

Panic...
