Subject: Angel modes in MEdge. What's a slasher like?

Hey. Wondering if anyone had done any thinking about the forms that the Angel can take in MEdge. Flying is basic and open to personal interpretation. I assume the stock setup is combat form. What's slasher meant to be though??? Any thoughts what sort of appearance this might take? I'm wondering whether it's a bit octopus-like with the void tentacles, but wondered if anyone else had thought (or knew the answer).

Tentacle-y is the impression I got for the slasher form, as well.
It's got to have a Shoggoth-style form, of course!

I'll be going with tentacles. Just need to work out how to have them sitting. Some will need to be for propulsion and others for attackin, this will need planning.....

I was curious about this as well. My Mature Angels are all I have left to model and I really don't have any superb ideas and I'd rather not model them in the stock pose. I was thinking I'd like to do a "slasher" form rather than winged or combat but I'm not really sure how to proceed. An octopus looking thing might be a good idea. I'm thinking use the same limb distribution (4 and 2) as the combat form but invert the"knees" on the lower legs to make it look more like its sitting on tentacles rather than standing on legs, then shave off the "claw" parts to make them look less crab-like and more sinewy, and then angle them down from the "head" and blend them into the body a little bit before it splits off to form two long, skinny, slimy appendages.
It might look terrible when I'm done. I don't know. That's why I only plan on using one, and if it looks awful I'll just model the other stock and paint it and call it a day. If it looks good, I'll probably save the other for when I'm more inspired to envision eldritch abominations from beyond the Warp. er I mean. Chthulhu. I mean. Maelstrom.
Although... the idea for a Shoggoth isn't bad just a blob with eyes and tentacles and mouths all over it

It's tricky isn't it? You have to keep the torso because that is the only consistent part to the Angels. Therefore it can't be quite a Shoggoth, but not far off would be fine. I'm leaning towards abandoning the stock components and use Green Stuff tentacles with wire core (a new skill for me to learn ). That way the tentacles will be more fluid and still maintain strength. I'm thinking of chucking at least double the number of tentacles as there are arms in the combat mode to show off a significant difference in versions.
How those tentacles are going to sit is the problem. I'm toying with writhing coils beneath the torso and then upper tentacles in threatening stance versus having all the tentacles involved in walking/fighting.
I asked Darkespurr his vision and he sees a tentacles beast and used the Kraken as a suggestion of how he could see the model. I always imagine a Kraken as having it's mouth directed upwards and the tentacles shooting up to pull ships etc in to the mouth. I'm not sure I'm a good enough hobbyist to make that work.
Lots of planning.....
Please let me know how you get on as I would love to see what you come up with.

I just put up my conversion in my thread. Direct Link (I hope) here is the pic
I too was thinking tentacles but then decided a long range scorpion tail strike thing would work too. I still have 2 more unbuilt and would really like to see how the inverted knees idea works out if thats what you go with.

Saw those. Was very impressed with his mods. I kind of regret not doing more with the rock climber, maybe should have planned for longer. I have just bought one of the greenstuffworld roll makers to help me with my tentacles for the slasher at some point (good bit of kit anyway even if I don't use it on that model) so the next two are getting some serious planning in
