Sorry for the doube post guys. Just ran into this theme force that Kraye has called "Mobile Strike Force". I really like the idea of this force so i'll show you my list and i'll explain (Also, I'm really lacking melee so what should i do about that. I'm thinking that an ironclad instead of the minuteman and a GMCA would be helpful).

-This force provides FA: U for rangers
-Rangers are discounted 1 point
-Every unit of rangers allows placement of one piece of terrain on my side of board
-The reason why I have two hunters is that they are required for T2 which gives bonus to starting roll

-Kraye (I think he is awesome. The main thing that stands out about him is that he gives warjacks calvary rules ) -6pts

-Hunter (these two are my dedicated anti-armour and become very maneuverable because of Kraye) 6pts
-Minuteman (Fast response and could help with light armour and becomes a speedy mother ******) 5pts

-Firstly this probably seems like the most non-warmachine list ever cause i have no melee. And since i have no dedicated melee unit right now I can't take too much advantage of Kraye's feat (although charging with hunters and winning would be funny :p )
-The main tactic I can think of with this force is guerrilla warfare. Using the superior speed and maneuverability to dictate the range and location of fights. Yet, I'm not sure if this is a valid tactic in Warmachine/Hordes. All I can say is my lack of melee is a little concerning and you guys should convince me to take something. As a side not the only melee I have access to are warjacks because of the theme restrictions.

First off, Kraye is amazingly good fun. You'll have a blast.

Secondly I'd suggest drop 2 of the ranger units (you don't need 24 mark target models) and 1 of the GMCA, and throw in a stormclad for those points With Kraye he's amazingly good fun, and super killy. And you need something super killy

That actually sounds like a great idea. I'm a little poor though and a stormclad is a large investment. Is there any cheaper alternative like duel defenders?

Stormclad is the heavy not the colossal If that helps, I don't imagine it's twice as expensive as a Defender kit is it?

He's a speed 5, high mat jack that can kill a lot of infantry near a hard target, with a high P+S and decent armour.

Out of tier I'd recommend you pick up a junior and what not, but if you're set on the tier I won't tell you what to do. Just remember that tiers like this are reeeally restrictive, and don't necessarily best represent how the caster plays

Personally I like the Centurion with Kraye,.
