Hi!
I take the idea with the monthly painting contest to start this P&M blog.
Maybe it helps me to get the motivation to finish my models.

That is one big issue for me.... I never really finish a model.

First of all I show some work I did in the past.

First work is a LARP chainsword I'm working on.
I started them, one for me, one for a friend of mine, but it takes a hell of time

Second is my Black Templar Grand Marshal.
He can be used on the bike or without.

And here as you can see....
Not finished....
I hate freehands, so the banner is not painted

Three other works

My entry for last month painting contest

And here the head of my warhound project.
I started it last year in march.
I saw some other projects with warhounds, so I decided to build my own.... Oh boy... It showed me, how untalented I am.... What a pain to build.... But hey.... At some time it will be finished.

I hope you like my work and that we will get this threat started...

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Here two pics of my contest work.

Both wip

working on the backpack of my noise marine.
Does anybody have some ideas for the speaker?
As you can see, I'm not really good at working with green stuff...

The idea is, that the speakers are helt by a dead trophy marine, pinned on top of the backpack...

Cool idea. Have you considered just taking apart some old head phones?

Nice work on you painting, the Grand Marshall is particularly cool.

Find some mesh and cut circles out and paint them to make look alike speaker covers?

Spoiler:

In craft stores, I think some cooking stores, and some home improvement stores, various sizes and types.

~EDIT~
Old headphones would be perfect, be way easier then my idea.

You can also use the wires and rubber cabling for basing.

I'll try to bring back some life to this threat....

Today I managed to finish my death guard vindicator.

I like the result, the dirty and rotten look.

And here is the link to the whole gallery.

For my noise marine I got a solution and will post some pics soon.

Wow. Some really nice work there. I’m the same. So many half started projects. That grand marshal blew my mind. And I have to agree the vindicator is awesome.

Today I finished my noise marine, which I started back in may 2016 for the painting contest.
So it was a long long time on my desk.

As you can see, I found a solution for the speakers....

And as second topic for today I have some wip pics of my lictor death leaper.
I repainted it for a new colour scheme.

I did some weathering and I am quiet happy with the result.

Great work SirOllox, you have really done the nurgle theme down well on the vindicator and the Great unclean one. When painted well that model really freaks me out and you have managed to do that (its the toe and finger nails, seeing them painted as well as you have done makes me shiver)

Don't be too hard on yourself for not finishing models, I think your a really good painter and have enjoyed what you have done so far finished or not

Hey there!

I just finished my new Abaddon the Despoiler.

I put him side by side to my old model, I painted nearly 22 years ago, when it got released in 1997.

It is nice to see, how the model and my paintig have improved.

Thanks for the side by side. Your new painting looks great and your old painting looks like mine did back then as well! The old model was such a classic. One of the best of its time and for years after. They may have gone a little over the top on the scale of the new one, as he looks more like a primarch size now, but it’s an impressive model.
