So I thought I'd put something up here for fun-sies and to chronicle a little mano-y-mano painting competition that Teban and I are going to be having, beginning this weekend.

We have both agreed on the kick off of our bout being Saturday Morning, May 28 at 00:00 hours (Midnight).

Teban will be painting a Blood Angels Captain for use in both 30k, and 40k. I've not seen the model yet but expect the modeling to be amazing if his 30k Imperial fists are any indicator. (Seriously, go check out his blog in the P&M Blogs forum, I's awesome!)

I currently already have a Captain mini painted and do not yet have the parts I need to build a proper Praetor/Captain for 30k as yet, so instead of that, I am going to be painting up my Chaplain Lemartes miniature as it is the same size and a suitably detailed 'centerpiece' mini compared to a captain.

The winner will be the first person to take and post finished pictures of their mini on here, and will win bragging rights aplenty until the next contest might be called.

Here's my Lemartes mini, base coated & awaiting the start whistle to start receiving paint:



(The red jump pack has been replaced by an identical one to it but that has been better prepped/cleaned and basecoated black to match Lemartes' base coat.)

Now, I post this here as a way for others to get in on the action. Feel like calling out a fellow Dakkaite in a friendly battle of painting prowess? Post up in here and throw down! Be it a single model, a squad, a vehicle, whatever floats your boat!

My plan of attack is simple. At midnight on the 28th, my painting begins!
