EH, could be fun. Kinda bummed it's PC only. But it might end up sucking, given how GW just gives out the IP to any company who's never made a game before.

Slitherine has been around for years and have an extensive back catalogue of hardcore strategy games. Not necessarily good hardcore strategy games mind.

Just googled them. Yeah, 15 years worth of C-tier games
Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach is a 3D turn-based strategy game like you’ve never seen before: fast, immediate, deep, impressive to look at and incredibly fun! Lead the Space Wolves in their struggle against the Orks through two uncompromising and long story-driven campaigns: Stormclaw and Hour of the Wolf.
Command several dozen different authentically created units and heroes, each with unique and extremely detailed 3D models that bring the world of Warhammer 40,000 to life. The gameplay is rich and varied: spend your points, make your list, choose your deployment, and fight!
Units at your disposal have different abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, can level up and are carried over between scenarios. Choose among many different types of weapons, watch your flanks and make wise use of the terrain: any tactical choice will be vital.

Slitherine is the publisher though. Says nothing about the game.
The textures look like from the mid 2000s, devs make the game sound like the next generation of turn-based strategy. I expect nothing of this game.

Eh, it's only space puppies vs orks. Not a high priority, might get it if it's on sale.
The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I had a blast on this at warhammer world, it was ok I thought.
It felt a bit tedious towards the end of the level when you had killed off the big ork toys with the knight, and then you have to go around and uncover the entire board to find the last grot squad hiding right at the back.
All in all i thought it was decent, you had to give it some thought as to what units you used where and I guess more scenarios with the same kind of mechanics would be pretty decent.
I would not pay top dollar for it unless there was a lot more to it but I dont think they will be asking for that much.
LionheartX did a pretty impressive stream, I definitely liked what I saw. Namely the fact that your guys can MISS, now hear me out that seems weird at first but if you decide to take an unlikely shot at range at an enemy, not only can your shots possibly miss completely, destroy cover etc. They can also damage your own men if they are anywhere in the line of fire. The best was seeing rockets totally miss Orcs and smash into nearby buildings. Lucky Orcs!
Sanctus Rach Full look and thoughts! I was sent a review copy by the developers so I made this video showing off what the game offers, game has some great qualities but some room for improvement! Are you getting game? What do you think of it? I hope you enjoy the video!
