First bash at a 1k Deathwatch list:

Watch Capt
Jump pack
2x Lightning claws
Beacon angelis =170pts

Vet Squad 1
5x vets
2x Frag cannons
Rhino+xtra armour =205

Vet Squad 2
5x vets
5x stalker bolters =135

Vet Squad 3
5x vets
4x frag cannons
drop pod =245

Vanguard Squad
5x vets
2x lightning claws (on 1x vet)
1x th & s/s (on 1x vet)
1x inferno pistol =180

Terminator
missile launcher =65

My maths may be rubbish but I make that bang on 1k pts.

I haven't played it yet (plenty of models to sort first).

General plan is, stalkers and cyclone termy act as fire support, drop pod hits where it can do the most damage (template or solid shot), rhino vet squad does drive by fragging and steals objectives, finally vanguards and watch capt jump on objectives or enemy!

Please let me know what you think!

Only advice here would be to try and take advantage of the formations.. the re-rolls are nice, especially at low point level games where every shot makes a difference. Without modifying too much, you can easily get a Furor Killteam and even a Malleus Killteam going, which I'd recommend. The Furor is going to be very useful since you'll always be up against troops. Perhaps put the Terminator with the Stalker vets to form it (fearless snipers are nice ha). Oh, and always take a bolter with the sniper weapon just because you can and might as well.

Tep, thanks I did look at the formations but in the friendly league I play in and the few tourneys I attend formations are not allowed. Harsh I know but in 1k points some formations really swing it too far. I like the idea of joining the stalkers and the termy, never thought of the fearless fire base.

Thanks.
