I'm returning to the hobby and came up with this list based on model availability. I'm looking for feedback on the current meta, especially vs suit heavy Tau.

One option would be to drop the Hemlock + Fire prism for a DE Archon w/ Armour of Misery/Webway Portal and a Squad of Kabalites w/ Blaster in a Venom with Splinter Cannons. This would give my foot council a Webway Portal insertion point into the fray, and an objective secured unit 5man squad + transport. However, it comes at the cost of my mind shock pod, only D weapons, 2 warp charges, and my back field objective sitting artillery. This may not be as big of a loss considering that the Hemlock is the only flyer, and thus would most likely spend the entire game jinking.

I usually pick Telepathy on a Farseer in each council (hoping for Invisibility + Terrify) and Runes of Fate for the other (hoping for Fortune + Mind War). Warlocks would all be Runes of Battle (hoping for Horrify). Total Psychic Dice: 24. (22 if I drop the Hemlock for the WWP Archon).

So, what do you think? Is it competitive, but not too cheesy? Are there any gaping flaws?

So the basic plan is this:
Archon, Farseer, and 20 man guardian squad enter via Webway Portal.
5 Kabalites + Venom enter via Deep Strike.
Hemlock enters from reserves.

This leaves the following units starting on the board:
A bastion with 5 reapers inside, 5 rangers on top.
A fire prism using the bastion to hide behind and snipe.
A Jetseer council with an Autarch providing reserve help + overwatch protection.

I feel like everything in this list is a major threat. Thoughts?

In general I would suggest taking the Vyper with duel shuriken cannons rather than with the bright lance. A single not twin linked bright lance is unreliable at best and the Vyper is a really fragile platform for tank hunting and will likely be jinking against even bolter fire.
