Hi everyone. I've just gotten back into the hobby after a long (5 month) break.
My club is running a kill-team event in a few months and I thought it would be a fun way to get back into the hobby properly.
I've always loved orks but was put off by the high model count, thus kill-team seems like a perfect scale to scratch my green itch. And who knows, it could expand into a bigger army
Anyway here's the list C & C welcome.
+++ Ork Kill Team 200pt (199pts) +++
+ No Battle Role (Elites) (65pts) +
Tankbustas (65pts) [5x Tankbusta (65pts)] (Basic idea is; I'm unlikely to hit anything, so if I do I want it right dead and proper like!

)
+ No Battle Role (Troops) (59pts) +
Gretchin (59pts) [18x Gretchin (54pts)] (Objective sitters and extra bodies for to eat bullets and keep me from breaking)
····Runtherd (10pts) [Grabba stik]
+ No Battle Role (Fast Attack) (75pts) +
Warkopta Skwadron (
FW) (75pts) (Zoom about and shoot the Dakka at the enemy; jink save should help it survive)
····Warkopta (75pts) [Big Shoota, Twin-linked Rattler Kannon (10pts)]
My concerns:
1. Everything has a 6+ armour save
2. 24 infantry might not be enough.
3.
2d6 AP6 bolters might be a tad overkill for MAX a single kill per turn (PLUS an additional Big shooter on top of that)
4. Tankbustaz might be a tad overkill.
Potential Tactics:
1. Load 3 Tankbustaz and 5ish grotz into the Warkopta and rain greenskins on the enemy deployment zone (kill their snipers and support troops) then pepper the enemies in the back with rockets and smash their heads in if they come back to deal with us. After this the Warkopta will just fly about strafing running the enemy and picking up grotz when they are needed.
2. The rest of the team sticks in cover taking pot shots at the enemy and crumping heads if they get close. Grotz just stick about and pile in when needed.
