Tough-as-Nails Ork Boy

So I'm getting back into gaming after a year or two off and I'm working on a 2000 point Ork list. This is what I have so far, it adds up to 1760, so does anyone have any suggestions on how to spend that final 240 points? Also are there any glaring issues with the list? I dont know if its even competitive I haven't played 7th edition or really read the other codex but I hear tau can shoot the out of anything. Anyway heres the list:

3 Big Choppas

20 Boyz (choppa)

30 Boyz (shoota??? not sure, I prefer to not let my orks shoot if at all possible theyre not great at it)

Big mek runs with the 30 boy mob, painboy and boss obviously go with the bikers

So like I said this is 1760 I'm not sure how to spend the extra 240 points, maybe add some more nob bikers to that unit, take another unit of boys, increase the loota squad size, or another dakkajet? Open to any and all suggestions/adjustments. Cheers Dakka!

I've played with Nob bikers before, I wouldn't recommend them. They're pretty much regular bikers with an extra wound and they're expensive. And while the 'ard case eliminates the open-topped, the battlewagons already have AV 14 on front and with open topped your boyz can charge off the disembark. Bosspoles are great, they increase the chance of the boyz sticking around to fight. I'd add some tankbustas in trukks or some more lootas for some more firepower. Tankbustas with rokkit launchas in an open topped trukk can fire out of it or charge out of it to tankbust.

Wouldnt trukks with tankbustas likely go down in the first turn? Like I said I havent played in a while but I grew distrustful of trukks after they kept getting shot to pieces before the could get very far. I think you're right that this needs more firepower though, maybe tankbustas in one of the battlewagons

The 30 boyz will get left behind. I'd mount them up in 3 trukks. Tank bustas w. Trukks is also a thing. If you can, you should add eavy armour to the boyz in battle wagons.

i agree with cox.dan

you get double the number of bikers compared to nob bikers.

whilst wounds will be similar, damage output is far greater with more bikers.

Thats my recommendation.
