That's the list! Its pretty simple, the tac squads grab objectives and kill other troops and the librarians give psyker support and 5+ feel no pain bubbles while the command squad crushes anything into the dirt and the assault squad zips around helping where they are needed and the dreadnoughts drop and cause mayhem in the back field. Tell me what you guys think and whether or not it would do well in a tournament

Your "deathstar" command squad would benefit more from bolt pistol and power axe rather than fist for the extra attacks, IMO... Having that many bleed into the enemy hero you're tanking against with your CM could really hurt. Power mauls are also good if going against hordes. However, you then have to lose the storm shields.. I guess YMMV. If you are planning on buffing them to get the re-roll failed saves, I'd think that you would be just going flat out and jinking everywhere to get into cc, so the 4+ rerolled on them seems fine to me... the stormshields are expensive anyway. But, again, YMMV.

Along the same lines of building up this deathstar, don't you mean to have all 3 libbys on bikes to ride with the command squad? If not, I'm not sure what the point of taking the conclave is (you want them on bikes to make a deathstar).

Ok, so for the rest of the list... I'd go with all drop pods if you're gonna land multiple iron clads in the enemy's face... but rhinos are fine too and can help block the field to/from your deathstar.

I don't think the solo ironclad will do much for you on the drop, alone (although he can fire both missiles so that's nice), and the other dreadnought will have a hard time making an impact, as he's mixed between cc and ranged. I'd try to upgrade him to another ironclad, or maybe balance out the list with something else?

For the devs, I'd try to get them all to lascannons... you'll need the range if you're sitting back. In this list, people will most likely NOT shoot at your deathstar, so these guys are probably gonna die... they may be a liability in this list for you... maybe bare-bones in a rhino to take an objective would be better, if they are a tax of your detachment (not sure what you need to fulfill this formation).

The assault squad may be nice to deepstrike, if you give someone or something a beacon... on foot they always have a hard time surviving.. but I'd be interested to hear any success stories. Perhaps you could replace them with an attack bike (or unit of?) if they are a tax unit as well?

Overall, I could see a list like this working if you spammed MSU and Ironclads on the drop... but perhaps there's more to this i'm not seeing.

Finally, Deathstars are cheesy so have fun being "that guy" haha -- the fluff-loving side of me had to say it lol j/k

Hope that helps.

I relly dont want to be a power gamer and I dont see myself as one. The other two librarians go in the tac squads because detachment gives them +1 feel no pain when wihin 12" of a IC. I think tcommand squad is pretty good only because it will be hard to double out a T5 biker, giving them 3+, 3++, 3+++. I might take the normal dread and make him venerable with lascannon/ missile launcher.
