So while getting ready for a game with my brother, I found some print outs I had from some GW ran tourneys back in the day. The packets were for 6th WFB and either 3rd or 4th 40K, and came with both a roster sheet to fill out, and a comp grading page to score your list with. I found several of the roster sheets, but can't find the comp score page. Do one of you magnificent grognards happen to have access to these beauties?
Comp was never an official part of warhammer or 40K, it was a 'fan addition' used by tournament organisers to variate armies and ensure unit selection met the fluff rather than the metagame more.

These packs were available on GW's website, and were either for RTT's, Grand Tournaments, or Games Day. They were official GW print offs, so comp was indeed an official thing, and was used to "grade" lists as part of your overall score.
