The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

Jupiter Ascending might have had plot holes a mile wide and a host of other faults, but it was a very pretty movie.
Big fan of 5th Element. This looks like it could be a fun movie. If the reviews are good, I might try to catch it in the theater, as it seems the type of movie to benefit from the big screen. If not, it will get dropped into the netflix queue and accompanied by an appropriate amount of beer.
I can sit through bad sci fi. I was kind of getting into Jupiter Ascending until they did a 'humans are batteries' retread. I mean, come on guys. You did that already.

Actually, when I saw the reveal for what humans were used for in Jupiter Ascending, the words "Soylent Green is people!" came to mind...
On topic, I liked what I saw in the trailer for this new movie, so I'll probably go see it when it comes out. I really enjoyed The Fifth Element, so I should enjoy this too.

...yeah, I guess it would.
Read the comic, she often wears nothing at all, those strange French
I kind of like Jupiter Ascending, But like Lucas, The Warcowski brothers/sisters seem to have forgotten that CGI is just a tool to tell the story and get the characters across.
But Luc Besson also had some hits and misses, but i like most of his work.
Every time I see Cara Delevigne in a movie, I think the movie would probably be better with Emma Watson starring instead. Am I alone in this?

Er, I think you mean "Luc Besson", not "Luke Benson", there.
I didn't think much of 5th element (Sure, it was pretty, but costumes looked like something out of a Madonna "Vogue" period video) and I've never read the comic (Valerian). It's pretty, but so was Jupiter Ascending (and it was pretty bad, too).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

Fifth Element is easily better than Jupiter Ascending. While JA has somewhat better action sequences, 5E has a charm that JA completely lacks.
Jean-Paul Gaultier costumed Madonna *and* he costumed 5E - I think he did quite a nice job of it, with a distinctive visual look that is clearly Euro-inspired over the default generic American grunge.
