They're aprox. 1:300 scale and look maybe like Brewster F2As? No idea who made them but any help to properly ID these things would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Honestly, it looks like a mish-mash of two or three designs. I'd say a mix of your Brewster F2A (landing gear), a Republic P-43 Lancer (due to the tail fins and ridges on the nose) or Grumman F4F-4 Wildcat (wing shape, small cockpit). A side shot would help make a more conclusive.

I'm going to say 'inspired by' the P-43.

Not sure it's accurate to call them a model or miniature of the P-43 though.

I was going to say I-16.

I'd go with I-16 as well. It's not a totally accurate sculpt if it is (I appreciate that the model is very small) but it appears to have an opened canopy in flight which is common on I-16s.

Yeah I guess. I've got plenty of Stukas and bf-109s.
And I can play "if you tolerate as this then your children will be next" on loop the whole time!

I've been tempted to do SCW aerial battles myself. Does anyone do Heinkel 51s, I-15s and CR-32s?

Just as importantly is there a rule set that plays well for SCW?

Don't forget to put Spanish Bombs on your playlist.

The I16 was also used in China where it would have fought against Japanese Ki27's and A5M's. They also fought against the very early A6M2's, I don't know if they were still in service by the time the Ki43 arrived.

The I16 remained in service fighting against the Germans in Russia until the middle of the war.

A huge number were actually built and most of them served in Russia rather than Spain or China.

i'm playing Check Your 6! by Skirmish Campaigns

don't see a SCW specific scenario set but the basic rules could easily be adapted. it.s hex based and can be played with any scale of minis.
