Subject: Heroes of the Imperium... at least the ones it deserves! AKA Going 2DSick on heretics!
Well it has been 3 years since my last painted 40k mini... Command squad for the 100th Cadian 'Shadow-corpse' if my memory serves me right but its been at least 4 years (maybe more since I've actually played.
The coming Fall of Cadia, Deathwatch, Genestealer cults and Sisters have stired the sleeping giant (well that's an exageration if I've ever made one!) and I'm back with an army of The Schola Progenium, the orphans of the Imperium. Starting with the path from orphan to stormtrooper to Commissar. A brutal life of indoctrination and constant war should keep me out of trouble....? maybe
Here's the man in charge. Ever vigilent for those ruthless, unshakable and loyal enough to be recuited into the Commissariat (a test which often involves making them conduct a field execution... even better if it's a close comrade).

That'll do nicely Dead quick scheme, done in 3 sittings (including the crackled base - so should be 2 for tanks) very happy with the results. Workhorse is definitely the right word for it
Automatically Appended Next Post: So I've got my second game of 7th ed plugged in for Friday. I'm looking forward to it as my opponent is a good friend and a nice guy. He's renound for using dick lists but he is a sportman through and through.
I had a terrible experience with my first game back. It was against a guy who showed up late, then after inviting a kid to join in with us said he had to leave in 15 minutes on turn 3.... Ffs... If he wasn't an arrogant ******* I could have forgiven the constant cheating...
All I wanted was a relaxed, challenge of minds.
I faced a 30k cheese army (relic stuff) with some kids 500 points of harlequins (he didn't know the rules) and despite the disadvantage, pulled a draw but thoroughly didn't enjoy it!
Rant over. Breath. Can't wait to play my mate Ryan but I have a sneaky suspicioun that he's going to have a bike unit and then nothing but drop pods haha. I'm tempted to only deploy the Tauroxs in cover and then I can pick my targets via deapstrike after the pods come in :?
This is the list as I used it in my first game. I liked the way it played. The two Taurox squads worked well delivering pinpoint shooting before rapidly redeploying, all the while opening up with the ML-ACs. The hellrain brigade was quite strong too. Blowing up a dread, getting mulched, coming back to do it again XD the downside is Ofc, I need to buy a second Commissar rather than use a single CAD and throw those extra points into making my one Commissar a lord (considerably more survivable) but the hellrain squad was priceless.
It's based around a theme. Schola Progenium. So assassins, Stormtroopers, the Commissariat (visually during the Armageddon campaign).
Why is it you spend your life surrounded by surplus transfer sheets. Litterally can't use them quick enough but then when you need one they all spontaneously feth off out of your life? XD

Finally figured how to get the damn thing on a flight stand XD and added a couple of dunecrawlers, which will make up two heavies from my <imperium> vanguard detachment (inquisitor, acolytes and assassins filling other requirements).
Been watching your video, well done. I also liked your taurox painting technique so I have stolen it for my old imperial guard vehicles. I have yet to do the sponge part weathering as I'm waiting on getting more vehicles done before doing that step so they are all cohesive.
After 30 years of messing aroundwith painting and modeling I'm spending time watching videos on how to do it right. I appreciate what you've done so far and looking forward to future videos .
LOL, Theo your mind is an amazing place, never change.-camkierhi 9/19/13

I call this Meh-ffort... just enough effort to be Meh but don in a sitting. I don't feel very motivated to spend time on these... maybe because they're usually on the tanle for only 1/2 turns XD
