A friend of mine and I have been kicking around 2nd edition 40K for some time, and have decided to streamline it a little bit and get back into the occasional game. Gathering resources etc. has been a bit of a chore, but I've assembled the following blog for anyone interested in the "good ole days" of Warhammer 40K.

http://projectanvil.blogspot.com/

The blog includes new resources (and will include more as we assemble them) including updated PDFs of the cards, templates, etc. We'll be adding in optional rules modifications when we've playtested them more. The blog includes overviews of all the old codices, etc., and a smattering of WD overviews from the ones I have laying around. Some collected art, and soon datafaxes!

Just something to look at while you're bored!

Goals of the revision will be pretty simple:
-Removal of archaic IGOUGO, replaced with randomized activations (akin to Bolt Action, Fireball Forward, etc. - no reinvention of the wheel necessary)
-Streamlining of the Psychic Phase (phase is actually removed entirely, replaced with alternate rules)
-Streamlining of the close combat system (more akin to 3rd style)
-Whatever else we decide.

For the newer players of 5th, 6th, 7th etc. it might be worth a gander just to see what was/wasn't available in 2nd ed.

Hi, I notice there hasn't been an update since last December (2017) is this still going?

Also I wondered given your keen interest in 40k 2nd, do you know anyone who has converted the imperial armour aircraft to 2nd ed,

Thanks, and even if you've dropped te project, thanks for leaving it up. There's a lot to read over.
