I... actually don't know. Help?

So Zvezda has a line of 1:100 scale tanks and vehicles and I'm thinking about using them instead of the regular FoW tanks. Do you know what size they are compared to the FOW ones? Thanks!

There are plenty of Zvezda vs Battlefront comparison images online, but they fit in quite nicely together.

My personal preference is PSC > Battlefront Plastic > Zvezda > Battlefront resin > all metal such as Command Decision.
BF plastic has made leaps and bounds, and the only thing holding it back is model diversity and price.

The Zvezda models are the same scale as the FOW tanks and fit in extremely well. They perhaps don't have quite the same level of detail as battlefront but they look absolutely fine once painted.

They are also a doddle to assemble.

Get yourself some stowage though, the Zvezda models are all identical (obviously...) so they make quite bland armies.

I have an early war Leichte Panzer Kompanie made out of 30 or so Zvezda models.

Agree.
For infantry the new PSC kits are great too. The old ones were more realistic, so quite thin. The new ones are bulky like BF.

Yeah, I really like the "heroic" scale in 15mm. Pretty sad that BF said it wasn't going to produce more plastic infantry kits for the near future. Maybe PSC will jump on board with an 8th Army version of their Brits...

I'd guess PSC will utterly clean up if they start doing more infantry, it may be why BF have given up on it, and apparently given up on infantry in a game they want to be dominated by tanks and aircraft. :/

If PSC do 8th army I'm getting some

Looking at PSCs list of upcoming releases it seems they are backing off from infantry as well. Perhaps the Infantry sets just don't sell all that well compared to vehicles?

I would agree they probably don't sell as well, mostly because you likely only need one box of of infantry where as you'll probably get a good few boxes of vehicles.

Also with infantry you need a good mix of figures otherwise they get seriously repetitive quickly - with armour.. bit of stowage etc they are easy to make look different, but if they are all the same it doesn't matter.

Yoof has some of the more recent PSC Infantry, they are lovely, and the packs have a nice range of models in.

Guessing BF have backed off plastic infantry as if V4 takes off it is a waste to tool them with command teams, if it doesn't and they roll some of it back its a waste not having the tooling for them.

Don't have Battlegroup so can't comment on what that system needs but I can see a lot of sense in waiting to see what happens and focusing on other models

I've not seen any of the PSC plastic infantry to comment, but I know the Battlefront British Plastics Rifle Company has 24 different poses per sprue. This is IMO more than enough to build a whole company of infantry where no two stands are exactly the same.

Its only the gun teams that are losing their command teams. I've seen scans of the new DAK book and the infantry platoons still include their small base command stands.

Aware of the BF plastics having a good range, I have some, ditto the PSC newer ones I've seen as well.

Also aware its only the gun crews dropping command, and observers etc, however the plastic boxes I've seen have way more command than you likely need, seemed the intention was to use them for the guns at some point.

Just if how bods on foot are played changes it would seem logical to hold off on them until seeing if V4 takes off or not.

Personally would do a frame with officers, a few pioneers and other oddballs and integrate them into the various guns anyway - have a varied army you get varied officers and specialists using space on the frames

I'm from the future. The future of space

Zvezda T34 (1940) and BF SU-85. The strange texture on the SU-85 is just the spray primer being very thin and the camera picking that up. There's not actually a texture on the model. The Zvezda T34 doesn't come with a part for the hull machine gun, so I'm going to just put a piece of a paper clip in there once I find my pin vise.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.

The new British Motor Platoons are actually plastic, not metal. I believe the new plastic 25pdr and 17/25pdr also come with plastic crew. All the other British crew, an all the DAK infantry and gun crew, are metal, though.
