Subject: [Kickstarter February 14] Luxumbra: Infinity Collectors, busts and big miniatures
Hi all!
We are a new brand about to come on to the market. Luxumbra intends to sell top-quality busts and figures at affordable prices.
Starting with a collection based on Infinity universe, Luxumbra promises to be a hit in the field of painting for both experts and amateurs.
Luxumbra will go on market through Kickstarter platform on the 14th February 2017.
This is the best way to guarantee the work reaches everyone and it can be easily purchased. Besides, as said before, if the project is well received, some other miniatures and busts might be unlocked.
It is worth emphasizing that, apart from the figures in the crowfunding campaign, there will be many other materials necessary to paint the collection as if we were Ángel Giráldez.
Stay tuned to the campaign and the social media, it promises to mark a milestone in the world of collecting figures.
Yeah, heavens forbid you actually have to produce a product before taking anyone's money!
Er... that's how capitalism works. Can you name any products that made it to mass market without taking money from someone, ie. a bank? Most people arent born independently wealthy. They need investors.

It was known from the start and what problem you have with this?
Eagerly waiting for it a long time now!
Funny how I follow Angel's work and have seen these being painted, yet never saw any significant mention of a Kickstarter. Just that they were going to be done by Luxumbra.

You understand that there is a difference between an "investor" and a "customer", yes?
Luxumbra isn't looking for "investors". They, like every other Kickstarter for miniatures in recent memory, are using it as a preorder mechanic.

It is not a preorder mechanic, but your belief is not going to change anyway.
Luxumbra is a different entity from CB and does have to pay CB the IP rights for the sculpts and frankly Kickstarter is a great way to gauge interest for your project.
@CURNOW
It was announced that it was going to be a KS from their first announcement on august.

We understood that there are some people that doesn’t like the Kickstarter campaigns, but in this project as many others, we see it as something necessary to prepare our product in the best way.
We are a new company and independent from Corvus Belli and this suppose IP royalties.
If the campaign works and after the delivery´s bakers, we are going to reach the stores and that entire people that doesn’t want to get the busts and figures from Kickstarter can buy it from stores. The most important now is to reach our goal, but also you like the products that we are developing, regardless where you buy it.
Thank you for the support.

Personally I love kickstarter because it means we can get cool stuff like this that would never exist without it. Also wasn't this very clearly posted fro the beginning as a Kickstarter project? I can't ever remember it being anything else and I've been following it on facebook via both theirs and Angel's pages.
Anyway, these bad boys are outanding!
Hope we can unlock a few sculpts more during the kickstarter.
Thanks for taking the time to post about this David.
Can you let us know if there will be any "unlocked" busts if the campaign reaches high enough?
I am loving the current models but sadly not enough to pledge. I was hoping that maybe there might be some more that might be unlocked during the campaign.
While I would love as battle damaged and helmetted Druze Shock Trooper or a cool Al Hawwa' bust at some point I can understand there might be as much interest for the models without skin. But that Tiger gives me hope. So pretty.
Glory is fleeting. Obscurity is forever.

Hey man, half of those minis are missing--you gonna finish them before the KS,
Don't have the talent to paint them properly and nowhere to put them if I could. Make some 54mm (1/32) Infinity miniatures and I'll be in severe financial trouble.

Well there is a mention for a 75mm model.

These look great but for me I never got the whole bust model thing.. I'd much rather see a full figure, like how FW used to do the super sized space marine model. That would be more expensive of course, but much cooler IMO

Here our first Stretch goal! A special miniature to our Kickstarter from Corvus Belli. The O-yoroi Pilot, perfect to play with the Infinity Tournament System new rules.

Just so we're clear:
This model has been known about for months now. It was never ONCE advertised as a Kickstarter model. This stinks to high heaven and makes me think that they expect this Kickstarter to be a bit of a dud, as they need to throw in an exclusive model with in-game stats right at the height of an ITS event focused on TAGs and which just gave TAG pilots huge perks.

If you don't like the way Corvus are doing things then fair play but Lux isn't the same company and I'm sure they didn't get to choose the mini. And if it's a stretch goal then they must be expecting it to actually be successful since it would have to go past funded before it's even unlocked for people to order. From what I've seen people don't pledge in the hopes that they unlock a stretch goal later on, they wait until it's unlocked if that's all they want.
If you don't like Kickstarter or Corvus that's not Luxumbra's fault, lets show them a little respect.
The busts are stunning, there are two I definitely want. The O-Yoroi isn't something I really need but I may as well get it while I'm there. I wish we had an idea of the prices already.
What are the hopes of unlocking more busts as stretch goals? Or other things! I'd go wild if you did some space vehicles or some more civilian orientated stuff. Anything that builds on the universe really.
I am worried these busts are going to be rather expensive with little in the way of freebies. And all stretch goals paid add-ons? Practives like this would be a shame.

Yeh for sure. Prices and possible stretch goals are my main concerns too. Would be nice to hear a vague indication of the price of a bust and what sort of benefits we might get for pledging the kickstarter instead of waiting for retail.
