The last time I played was over 10 years ago with my ex's army o.o I have a small squad of SOB but would probably need to get a different army if I was going to play...I am so behind the times as far as rules go lol. Not to mention my incredible shyness and social anxiety :(

Sounds like a tall order... No worries... I was just being friendly. I have the social angst somethin fierce. So I can relate. Lets just be forum buddies then. Someone will come along who wants to get crushed at 40k... We Montanee boys are patient hunters

lol... good to find someone who understands the struggle. Funny as it sounds I didn't expect to meet anyone from the Ol' Hometown on this far-flung forum. Actually I think I may stick around for a while since I did.

You Made my day... no joke.

Right you are! Its common knowledge that 110 percent of people from our neck of the woods can neither read nor write. (You and myself being the exception). I actually had a gentleman the other day ask if I enjoyed living in Canada?!? I was a little nonplussed!

But I digress...

How bout this Winter! Brutal this one eh?

Canada I've had people make comments like that when they've asked where I was from lol...my favorites thus far are "did you ride horses to school?" and "do you have indoor plumbing?"

This winter is crazy! I moved back from Idaho last fall and I'm pretty sure in the entire time I lived there they never got this much snow during one winter...maybe the collective 8 I was there lol

Now don't read me false here... I do love most things about Canada, But since the border is only a stiff 1.5 hours from my domicile (based on reservation driving) I can have my fill of the great north anytime.

Yes Idaho has it easy this year, what with almost a foot of snow on my pickup when I left for work this morning.

Oh I get it, I've been up to Canada and it was nice.

I wasn't expecting that much snow this morning when I went out to start my rig...I had to broom it off and then shovel the driveway

I hear ya... The broom is the only way to move Mother Nature out my way these days... I keep a broom and shovel in my truck at all times. If Im not mistaken, and I usually am, todays crushing snowfall makes for 4.5 ft. of snow stacked in my front yard... but I live up the Rattlesnake Gorge a ways and my driveway is a time honored target for the worst snowdrifts ever lol.

Yeah I'm not sure how much show has been collected/shoveled out front...I was tempted to fling myself into it today while I was shoveling the driveway but I decided against it as it started raining and.......yeah lol.

You are painfully correct, it actually snowed and rained for a good portion of the day at 22 degree Fahrenheit and the 1/4 inch of ice on my rig tells me it was a good day. I work the long hours here at the hospital so it had plenty of time to accumulate and ruin my drive home.

Well... You should have flung yourself into the snow anyways... because its fun lol.
I'm such a goof ball for playtime in the snow...

I hear the forcast calls for a severe winter advisory now through sunday. I cant wait to dodge all the bad drivers that spill into town from the bitterroot en masse everyday.

Ugh, this is not a lie lol. I lived up here when I graduated high school and it was never this bad that I can remember...I dread having to run errands after work most days.

I have to go downtown tomorrow for a few hours and I'm not looking forward to the weather...I hate going downtown as it is but lord...the weather + awful drivers = suck...

I can't remember the last time I had fun playing in the snow lol...probably when I was in high school

Rofl!!! Very true. I usually try to take my paid vacation as close as I can to the first MAJOR snowfall of the season. My thinking is everyone from Lolo and the southern Hamlets will, as a collective, total their cars, wise up and start driving like they actually care. Then, and only then are the roads safe for local folk likes myself to frequent the streets.

I studied in Oregon, the way of medicine, and the winters around Portland were rainy at worst. I suppose I was spoiled. Here I come home to take work and we get 4.5 ft O snow.

Just my luck I guess lol.

I lived in Oregon for a few years also, and I remember the one year it snowed and had super bad freezing rain...people were driving 50+ on I-5 like they were invincible...just because you have 4 wheel drive doesn't mean you can drive like an idiot!

so true!! I actually went to Muse today and while I was there someone managed to slide his little red car into the light pole in front of Subway...

Agreed 100%. My aunt and her family live outside of Portland so I go visit but you couldn't get me to move back there...too many memories.

And yep! deadly serious lol. I came out, got in my rig and saw 2 cops with lights on...thinking to myself "someone must've rear ended the giant semi that was parked across the street"...newp...little red car crunched up against the light pole lol. I spent the drive home trying to figure out how he managed to do that honestly...

Mmmhmm, by all accounts... it doesn't make sense!

Funny thing is I probably know the officers... Silly small town folk we be.

I thought Portland was neat, not my style I think.

Yeah, I liked going to the Saturday Market under the Burnside bridge but it was too much for me. I refused to drive into Portland, I always took the MAX lol.

Yeah I went to college on the west-side of Portland. I met many interesting people... I gave the "culture" its fair consideration but it was a wee bit too dramatic for me. Missoula isn't quite as saturated but sometimes the extra 20,000 students in town can be equally cumbersome.

but you couldn't get me to move back there...too many memories.

Sorry... please we can always chit chat about the game, This is my first forum, thanks for being cool.

lol Relax!

I just wonder in my dark little soul... how many people are getting annoyed with us talking about our little slice of FRIGID paradise (Missoula).

I play Imperial guard... old school.

There we got that out of the way lol

I was just thinking this as well lol! At least we hijacked your own thread

I played Dark Angels and occasionally Slaanesh. Now I just have a dinky SOB army and a mish-mash of chaos models...old school daemonettes and just picked up the new Lord of Change today

I didn't know that was a thing... you learn something everyday.

I recently pick up my Guard army again, and the new models entering the game are blowing my mind.

Me also! I am really digging the new chaos models for sure. I'm not an Eldar player but I'm seriously considering picking these up...

I'm mostly a hobby painter at this point *until I get brave enough to play again* so I'm always on the lookout for awesome models be they GW or others

Nice! I agree they look amazing and very fun to customize.

I haven't played formally for sometime.

I agree I enjoy the modeling enough these days. Everything I have eventually gets broken down and slapped onto some addlebrained Ork creation Ive cooked up. (Lets face it... Orks are boss!)
