I have uploaded the first version of my newly created Blood Bowl Reference Guide. I would love to collect feedback from people on how to improve this document, especially if you find any errors that need to be fixed. My email address is in the bottom left corner on the last page of the downloadable PDF. This is the best way to reach me for corrections.

Building this Reference Guide was a big part of how I re-learned Blood Bowl after a 25 year hiatus. I hadn't played since Second Edition back in the late 1980s. I'm no expert, so I suspect there will be some errors that I will need to correct.

Thank you.

Wow that is quite extensive list of summary! See you have an error for "Thick Skull" skill.

I found that after playing a few games, all I'm interested in having a quick reference to are:

-Star Player Point Levels
-Injury Table
-Weather Table
-Kick-off table
-expensive mistakes / spiraling expenses
-skill categories and which skills are divided into each category

This is awseomely useful--especially for those of us learning (or relearning) the game. It's really nice to have all the references in one place.

My only quibble would be that some rules which are optional (or aren't even rules, just suggestions) aren't called out as such. For instance, the 4 minute turn isn't a part of the mandatory rule set, and the suggestion to turn models around to indicate they have taken their action is just that, a suggestion. Perhaps you could mark these items with an asterisk or something?

Still, I LOVE having this all in one place to reference. Thanks so much!

A fabulous compendium of rules, really well done. Definitely printing this out to bring to my games!

I'd also say that a quick sheet with all of the base rules on a single page would be a nice addition but I really can't ask for much more.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Thank you so much! This is super-helpful, and the one pager actually has most of the stuff I actually end up looking at! GW should have paid you to do the Quick Reference sheets in the box!

Hi Da Butcha - what else would you want on a one-pager to reduce rulebook lookups?

* Added a variety of corrections submitted by Steve (not sure which one) from the Both Down Podcast

* Clarified that Dodge modifiers are calculated based on the square moving into, not from

That one-pager is truly epic!

Btw one more thing which was quite common in previous edition of Blood Bowl: a passing range grid.

Something similar to this:

I don't know how exact the new measurements are though.

I much preferred the old style. The color choice is personal preference, but the older font I find easier to read, and the box style looks like my printer head needs cleaning. You are doing a fantastic job for free, and I will use it, 'cause it's amazingly useful, but I much prefer the old style.

Best of the old and the new. Looks just as nice, and the boxes and text are much more legible! Our league is loving this thing-especially the one pager!

My small gaming group is made up of new players, and veterans that had very old rules (pre-LRB!) so engrained in their minds, our first few matches suffered from page turning and interpretation arguments reminiscent of 40k. And that was despite us all owning a copy of the rule book...

I introduced your quick reference guide and the arguing ended immediately. All games have been brisk, amazingly fun, and we have you to thank. May you always roll 6's and thank you!

so I am new to warhammer 40k, but am interested in blood bowl. are these game quicker then 40k games? does it have a difficult learning curve like 40k? or would the starter pack(box set) have me set up to play some fun games?

Games are typically around an hour or two depending on how quickly you play. The basic game is fairly simple and the starter set has literally everything you need to play some fun games right away. Look around for an existing league in your area as that is where the game really shines.

Also keep in mind that the Blood Bowl 2 video game uses mostly the same rules and teams and is a good way to practice some strategies.
