I recently played a game with 2 Decimators and a Bomber with Cluster Mines, with the idea in mind just have more "Health" than my opponent, I won but it came down to us both having 3 hull points left, each. I ultimately made a better roll. So my question is this list even somewhat competitive? I have 5 points left for what ever, Gunner? Tractor Beams? Vader?

Idea is to either fly normally, or just bump myself with infinite stop maneuver.

95 points

Anti pursuit lasers would be my choice, you're already going to hog a lot of the board, cause bumpage and they're relatively cheap.

Not even close. You will get out-maneuvered almost immediately and your space cows won't be able to get back into the fight and focus fire on anything. Maybe you'll win occasionally in a very casual environment, but if you take it to a tournament expect to lose.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Indeed. Shuttles aren't amazing, but if you really want a shuttle squad, you want either engine upgrades or electronic baffles to at least try and get a repeatable speed 1 turn.

If I desperately wanted four shuttles, I'd probably try and avoid Yorr - he's okay in an ace squad, but in this he's an obvious lynchpin and likely to be taken out early.

Suggestion: Omicron Group Pilot, Electronic Baffle, Tractor Beam, Tactician x4

Your manouvrability is aweful, but you've got the toughness to win a fair fight if you can get one - tossing out tractor and stress tokens en mass might help even up the odds. In theory.

The 'Nobody puts Palpy in the Corner' List might be the most silly Shuttle List, 3 x Spacecow, FCS and one with Palp along with whichever FO ace takes stress off, just turtle up in a corner and either bump or fly FO it a tight 1speed circle with endless damage free 0's on shuttles, it as lame as can be but can tilt the other player in strange ways

Back when u-boats was popular, there was this player on the Wookies on X-Wing (Northern Gaming) on Youtube that would play 3 shuttles with rather consistent results. From what the commenters said, it was all about stagin your turns so you could always cover a lot of angles.

It wasn't earth shattering or anything, but it was strangely amazing to watch. Like a car crash in slow mo.

could sub them out for tacticians, in fact. 4 omicrons with baffle, tractor and anti-pursuit should be annoying as hell to fly in the vicinity of...

Alternatively, consider the upsilon (ren's batwing). You drop from 40 health (4×10) to 36 (3×12) but move up to scary 4-die primaries, and you have enough point left to give them either fire control (for obvious reasons) or pattern analysers (letting them use their shockingly good - for a relative of a lambda, anyway - red dial). Plus you can afford hyperwave comm scanners on all three and lieutenant dormitz, meaning whilst you may not win at manouvering, you do at least win the deployment game - setting up at PS12, far closer than you should.
