So the regionals in my area are on tomorrow and i'm getting a bit nervous (probably anxious is the word) about it. what do you think will be the prominent lists there? my thoughts are the commonwealth defenders will have a strong presence and maybe triple you boats.

Lots of mindlink, manaroo with various others, palp aces, the new Upsilon list that I can never remember the name of, trip bombing K-wings and a few Falcons. Seems to be the most common lot of cookie cutter lists at the moment.
I have not really heard of many U-boat lists since the nerf although one just took out a regional in the States.

What are you flying?

A palp aces variant that i've had some luck with. won't post the list just in case some Brisbane people are on here.,..

If you do face the popular Asajj/Manaroo/Fenn Rau list, I would suggest gunning for Asajj/Fenn first, hard. Manaroo on her own is quite easy to handle.

Pretty much this, and i'd add some TLT lists, the tomax/qikdraw/other list, chirpy-deci plus ace, and maybe double vcx

yeah i have been following your post and i had that thought as well.

If you're going after Asajj, try to come at her from multiple angles, forcing her to spend her action on rotating arc, instead of defensive or offensive actions, and make sure you approach her without stress, so she won't be more resilient to damage. The list banks on people flying in formation across the board to screw itself up and be less effective through bumping or bad placement. Split up and try to get there at the same time, but on different vectors.

So the first round is about to begin. So this is my list.

Very much looking forward to hearing how you do. I like the list. It's similar to one that I saw doing very well at a regional here in the states (somewhere in Texas IIRC).

I think that one had sensor jammer on the shuttle and no engine Mk II or stealth device...

Well a bit of an update.... two straight losses. Absolutely nothing I could have done about them.

First game was Horton, lothal ghost with the shuttle all tlt spam.
Second game was RAC with hot shot, pred, gunner with Ryad.

In the second game I lost Jax in the first game turn. Did a 5 straight with a boost (should have PTL for an evade but figured I was safe). Then he charged in with RAC 3 bank with a boost. Range 1 against Jax. He stood no chance...

Oof, bummer

So yeah at the end of the second round I'm sitting 53rd out of 58....

Run the remaining tables and makw the cut!

So at the end of the day came in a lousy 46th out of 58. In my opinion my list wasn't weak but damn my rolling was. At times couldn't hit or evade anything.

Was there a ship you were losing first more often than not?

Not really. It was sort of split between Jax and the shuttle. I think most just saw them as more of a threat than Stele.

Well, without them Steele doesn't work as great, right? So in a sense, they were right.

No not really. Stele is pretty deadly in his own right. He took out 2 y wings on his own in my fifth game. He would have survived and I would have won if I had remembered autothrusters on Jax, just a freaking rookie mistake

During my last game using the Palattani (I wonder if that name will catch on) I kept forgetting Latts Razzi on Asajj. Which is a pretty big deal.

Maybe the power level ofthe list is just not high enough for the tournament scene.
